Hmmm... this question probably pops up again and again (haven´t been able to find it in the archives though); it is with regards to Taste of Vitae (You've gotta love it) ... Just to make sure ... when Taste of Vitae only gains the vampire the amount of blood succesfully inflicted in combat by that vampire! This means that damage inflicted by retainers doesn't count towards the amoutn of gained blood?? Nor does enviromental damage?? What about damage inflicted by a Blood of Acid?? No, it counts the amount of blood lost to damage. Where the damage comes from is irrelevant. (Card text.) -- James Coupe "Never give in to them," she whispered. All blood spent healing damage or preventing destruction from damage is counted. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I'm a little slow today. When you mention being able to use Taste of Vitae in the context of against a Vampire that lost blood due to healing or prevention, does this include say the 1 blood spent on a Skin of Steel? No. That's the cost of the card. Card costs don't count as blood lost irregardless of what the card does. Sorrow --- "Happiness sucks" -me

[ quoted text not captured ] No. "preventing destruction" (due to damage), not "preventing damage". See 6.4.6 -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. [ quoted text not captured ]
