the symbol on this card is a 'splodge' with a crown in it. there is no
lasombra clan symbol anyway. and it states she is an independent
vampire. so why (according to previous threads0 can she play lasombra
cards??

The Crown-on-wax-seal is the new Lasombra symbol.
Since she is Lasombra (even if she is Independent), she can play Lasombra cards.

And while she can play Lasombra specific cards, since she is Independant,
she cannot play Sabba specific cards. (further clarification for the
original
poster)

Delicate -- and Covenant of Blood would be more efficient.
But definitely rocks as fortitude combat - could also go well with
Euro-Brujah, since she has cel.
And the card to use with her? Camarilla Vitae Slave. Boost that pesky
minor pot to POT.
BTW --> the whole 'Lucita as Lasombra antitribu' controversy? She's NOT. A
Lasombra antitribu would be a Camarilla Lasombra. Lucita is Independent.
She rejects both Sabbat and Camarilla.

True, but funny. You could add pot and cel to taste, but the Fortitude-
Trap idea is a nice one when played.

Ah yes, but Political Struggle offers more votes to you.

Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to use Covenant of Blood with that.
And if you have all of them in the deck, it could be difficult.
However, a Jimmy Dunn, Lucita, Donal, Constanza, Aurora, Vittorio
Giovanni based deck. Dominate, Potence, Fortitude, and some Celerity.
That could be fun. And we could use Happy Families for card ratios too.
:)
(Oh, and since I just got a request for it, I'm looking at doing an end-
user version of happy families - probably a downloadable Java applet, or
something.)

Useful, but not such a major problem. The minor potence allows Immortal
Grapple when needed, and if you see an opponent who can't S:CE, the
trap/fortitude comes to the fore. It even does when you see an opponent
who can S:CE, since it combines just fine with IG.
I have to say I'm very happy with the implementation. Given that Lucita
could have ended up as a hideously over-powered Combat Wombat, she has a
nice edge without being obscene, and a nice selection of disciplines.

Presuming that (a) there are votes on the table you want to rush and (b) you
have a _use_ for votes. I've tried the Political Struggle rush vote deck.
Argh.

Yah, that was sort of what I was thinking.

spiffy!

The major POT allows superior Decapitate, though. Always nice to have as an
option. And most of the rest of that crypt you suggested above have POT
rather than pot.

I can only hope we see more of this quality! Although James H and I (among
others) might both suggest that a few more Beast-level Combat Wombats
wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

Erm, there are always reasons to have votes - stopping other people
passing theirs (if needs be), capitalising on Bribes, bargaining chips.
However, it would be a very specific metagame where you could rely on
solely Political Struggle. But two or three in a deck wouldn't
necessarily be a bad idea.

Well, I was looking at some compiled Perl/TK - but the ActiveState
PerlApp program needs Windows NT, which I don't have. Oh well, time to
learn how to program in something else.
(I refuse to use JavaScript, even though I could carry on implementing
it with regexps.)

I find it really quite expensive, for what it is. Playable, yes, but,
well, 2 blood is a lot.

Oh, true. Whilst POT is, clearly, better than pot, I don't think it's
*that* much better, and not something I'd entirely miss.

I'd rather have good, playable combat cards for multiple strategies than
relying on having to do a combat deck with specific vampires - if, for
no other reason, to avoid contesting the vampires.
