Supposedly we should be posting our buying and trading offers on a different newswatcher list. Nice idea for clarity, but I have a suggestion: We should allow such postings here, but insist that responses to the initial post be carried on via e-mail. My reasoning being that of all the card-related newswatchers out there, Jyhad/V:TES card information occupies a marginal--very marginal--space amidst all the other card games. It's easier for me, and I imagine most of the other V:TES players to check one site for all V:TES news, rather than hopping all over several lists looking for the one or two scattered V:TES articles on each list. [ quoted text not captured ] Your newsreader should support pattern-matching - use it to automatically gather Jyhad/VtES posts from *.marketplace. Ease of use is not a good reason to ignore newsgroup charter. If you want it changed, go through the proper procedure (see news.announce) -- L. I would agree. Since there really isn't much in the way of numbers in this game as compared to, say, Magic, we don't need to worry about massive amounts of bandwidth in one group going away because of Trading/For Sale stuff. And I *DON'T* want to sift through 450 magic ads for maybe 5 VTES or Jyhad ones. -- Matthew Sottile : msot...@hood.uofport.edu KDUP / CS / Physics -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- "The picture you see, is no portrait of me, it's too real to be shown, to someone I don't know..." -New Order, "Round And Round"

The newsgroup rec.games.traging-cards.marketplace.misc _should not_ have MtG postings on it; it was specifically set up with a charter to allow only non-MtG postings. This newsgroup is a discussion group for Jyhad, not a marketplace group. When the marketplace.misc group did not exist, people had some sympathy and tolerance for those trying to make seen their (very) few non-MtG posts in the original .marketplace group (99.5% of posts were Magic-related). Now that the new group has been created, this sympathy seems to have mostly dried up. Shane H.W. It didn't seem like there where that many magic posts on it, but if this discusion concerns another group then we should have the conversation there.
