Our play group just bought several boxes of Black Hand boosters.
Before giving everybody their share, we were wondering how the cards
appear to be spread in boxes. Several copies of the same rare in a box
or mostly different rares? Same question for vampires?
Thank you kindly.

I don't know if this is a reliable take, but I bought 26 boosters from
the same box, and it included 3 copies of Sybil's Tongue, 2 copies of
Vendetta and 2 copies of Local 1111. So, 22 different rares out of 26
boosters. Nothing alarming. As I was busy marking my new cards,
another guy wondered of the 3 Talons of the Dead that he already had
when he was opened appr. 20 boosters.

i bought three boxes of boosters and one of starters, and i had the
whole set somewhere between the last 5 packs of the first box and the
first 5 of the second. So excellent spread, the R2s really being twice
as common as the R1s. The only oddity is that there are a couple of
library cards that sometimes occupy vampire slots - Recure of the
Homeland is one, maybe Inscription is the other.

I'd go betting on bad luck, most people I've talked with have gotten
quite nice and even spread. I don't think I go 3 pieces of any single
rare from a box.

That is the infernal part.

Can't say for other people (heard no complaints so far, but so far, I
opened 1 booster Display (plus every starter once).
I ended up having virtually no double rares (think there were 2 or 3 I
got twice).
Apart from that, I got nearly all vamps twice.
So overall, so far: IMHO a lot better then the spread was for Anarchs,
or at least then the spread I got in Anarchs.

Thanks for the information Al and Leggy!
BTW Leggy, won another JOL game (jol193) recently using your
"Legbiter's Halloweenies" deck. That was fun, and mostly unexpected
from the table since I never was a threatening deck until the very end
when the opportunity presented itself. Excellent deck. I love it when
Ambrosius gets Talbot's Chainsaw and starts his rampage :-)

I opened 7 boosters, and got 2 Deep Cover agents. The boosters were
split amongst two different boxes though, so these results are really
no help to you at all. I just thought i'd bitch about my poor luck.
anyone wanna trade one off me?

No, but if you want to build a Deep Cover Agent deck, I can help you get
some more. That's certainly one marginal use rare.

Being that there are 43 (36 Rs and 7 R2s by my count) it would take more
than 1 box to get the set but the distribution on my box was excellent. I
need 12 cards to complete the set and have all the vamps. Great distribution
and a stronger set than Anarchs (at this early point).

I wasn't that lucky. I opened two displays and am not complete (that
is normal). Rather I had (of course mostly not very interesting) rares
doubled, for example
5 Last Stands
5 Dia de Los Muertes
3 Extremis Boon
3 Path of the Death and the Soul
3 Mask Empathy
3 Resilient Mind
and each Crusad twice.
These all are R1 (harhar). R2 like Watchtower: Four Ride Forth I got 6
times and Talons of the Dead 5.
All in all I consider that a bad draw, so I definitely have to buy
another box.

Wish I could say the same over this way. I opened two booster boxes
last night. 5, count them 5 Talons of the Dead (3 were from a single
box). 4 Watchtower: Riders. Mind you, I'm only 6 rares short of the
complete set. My only real complaint regarding this is that between
both boxes, I only received two of the !Tremere action card (forget
its name) and two Inscriptions. Not that I need more than that
really, but why would an uncommon appear LESS often than a rare?
I'll chalk it up to a fluke and move on my merry way...otherwise, I
honestly can't complain. The set looks great.

I can confirm that inscription appears in a vampire slot.

The Unique bit makes me really not keen to put more than one in any
given deck. and then that deck would have to be some sort of
interceptor thing for me to bother....which runs conveniently into
what i want to do with my NosA starter and the couple of Bloodings i
_traded_ for. stupid random distributions....

Talons of the Dead is an R2, i think maybe Watchtower: 4 ride forth is
also R2, Vendetta certainly is. So you should expect to get twice as
many of these as of other R's.

Recure of the Homeland? It is fixed in the !Tremere starter.

i believe these two cards are not UC at all, but rather vampire rarity
- they certainly appear in vampire slots.

Agree with that!

The vampires are all U2. The "vampire slots" are "uncommon slots".
