Since I could only find material regarding first taking an action with TGB and then masking it but none about the other way round, here my question: Minion A (e.g. Francois Villion) takes tries to call a KRC (or whatever non bleed action that comes to mind), Minion C declares a block and has sufficient intercept. Now Klaus van der Veken (or Suzanne Kadim or any other Toreador with [obf]), who is subject of a TGB and thus unblockable plays a Mask of the 1k Faces to take over.. what happens with the block attempt? Is it still succesfull or does it now fail because Klaus is unblockable? I'd say yes, but an not totally sure about that.. And if the block fails and Francois plays another Mask to take over the action again, is blocking him now impossible due to the normal Mask/Grand Ball Ruling? Again I would say yes.. Thx in advance :) -- Holger Christiansen Domain of Bochum, Germany

If the Mask was played prior to the block succeeding (as is likely), then the block attempt (which has not yet succeeded) fails (since the minion is unblockable). > And if the block fails and Francois plays another Mask to take over > the action again, is blocking him now impossible due to the normal > Mask/Grand Ball Ruling? Again I would say yes.. If you elicited a "I don't block" declaration from the Methuselah, then that Methuselah cannot change her mind just because a Mask was played, correct. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. At which point exactely would the block succeed? Is there a time window between the blocker having enough intercept and declaring its block and the block actually succeeding in which the Mask could be played? >If you elicited a "I don't block" declaration from the Methuselah, >then that Methuselah cannot change her mind just because a Mask >was played, correct. Can I force another Methuselah to declare that even if block is impossible? [ quoted text not captured ]

This is the time the acting minion could play, say, Lost in Crowds. If the block succeeded immediately upon the existence of a blocking minion with sufficient intercept, then Lost in Crowds would never be playable. >>If you elicited a "I don't block" declaration from the Methuselah, >>then that Methuselah cannot change her mind just because a Mask >>was played, correct. > > Can I force another Methuselah to declare that even if block is > impossible?
