Alex

The following scenario came up in a game today: Vamp A is in combat with Vamp B. Vamp A plays an Illusions of the Kindred. Vamp B's controller is holding a Psyche in their hand and wants to play it. If Psyche is played, how is it applied? A. Psyche restarts the combat with the Illusionary vamp that was drawn, if both combatants are ready. (why someone would want to do this I don't know) B. Psyche restarts the combat with Vamp A *only* if vamp B is still ready after the combat is over with the Illusionary vamp. C. Psyche restarts the combat with Vamp A *immediately* and thus negates the effect of Illusions of the Kindred i.e. there is no combat with an Illusionary vamp. (The Psyche would need to be played immediately after Illusions of the Kindred was played) D. Other Thanks in advance. Alex P.S. Does Psyche play with the same effect (negating the continuation of the original action) versus Mirror Image and Call of the Hungry Dead as it did with Form of Mist? P.P.S If I play a Mirror Image to end combat and the opposing Meth plays a Psyche to restart combat, can I play another Mirror Image in the ensuing combat?

"There is no room to play Psyche (superior) between the time Illusions of Kindred ends combat and when the new combat begins. So, when you play Illusions of Kindred, Psyche cannot be played. Does Psyche play with the same effect (negating the continuation > of the original action) versus Mirror Image and Call of the Hungry > Dead as it did with Form of Mist? With Mirror Image, yes. With Call of the Hungry Dead Psyche can't be played, since combat is never entered (the block attempt fails before combat is started). > P.P.S If I play a Mirror Image to end combat and the opposing Meth > plays a Psyche to restart combat, can I play another Mirror Image in > the ensuing combat? Yes, Mirror Image at SUP is a combat card, so there's no limit to how many you can play per action. Flux

So, when you play > Illusions of Kindred, Psyche cannot be played. [LSJ 19971003] " Correct. Psyche can also not be played after the combat with the illusion, since the illusion isn't ready at that time. > > Thanks in advance. > > > > Alex > > > > P.S.
