Name: Mictlantecuhtli [KoT:V] Cardtype: Vampire Clan: Gangrel Group: 5 Capacity: 10 Discipline: pre pro ANI FOR POT THA Independent: Mictlantecuhtli is immune to damage from weapons. When he commits diablerie, each of your other ready vampires gains 1 blood from the blood bank. +1 strength. Name: Talbot's Chainsaw [Jyhad:R, VTES:R, CE:R, KoT:R] Cardtype: Equipment Cost: 3 pool Unique weapon. Strike: 3 damage. **If bearer is ready during your untap phase, a ready minion you control takes 3 unpreventable damage.** Bearer cannot hunt. Bearer may enter combat with a minion controlled by another Methuselah as a +1 stealth (D) action. Bearer gets a press, only usable to continue combat on the first round, and may prevent up to 1 damage each combat. Everyone has been playing that Mich is immune to damage from Talbots chainsaw, as I was, but I noticed after a closer look that Talbots chain saw does not actually inflict any damage during the untap phase, the damage is more or less for an appropriate term, enviromental. So the question is: Is Mictlantecuhtli inmmune to Talbots chain saw's untap damage effects? Raille

Yes. Talbot's Chainsaw is a weapon. Damage from Talbot's Chainsaw is damage from a weapon.

[ quoted text not captured ] So if you have Mic and one other minion, can you "target" Mic in the untap phase and nobody gets the damage?

Blooded Sand

[ quoted text not captured ] Yes. This also works if you only have Mic. It does not say other minion. This trick has been around since the Ferryman was printed

James Coupe

[ quoted text not captured ] Mic gets the damage, which is then ignored (due to the immunity). The classic play, from years gone by, is to try to use Ambrosius the Ferryman for much the same effect. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D YOU ARE IN ERROR.
