good luck. Opened 4 boxes here, 2 of them had the same 34 rares out of 36,
the other 2 had 31. None had any The Becoming or Sandman. I didn't dare
checking the vampires yet.

My first 3 boxes all shared 31 rares, and every other rare was 2
copies.
Next 4 boxes had a better distribution in rares, with no evident
pattern.
I've noticed Agate Talisman and Perfectionist always appear in the
same pakc, in spots 3-5. # other commons alwayds appeared together,
need to look at my pile to see what that was.
Uncommons only groping together ala Wash/Abbot did in 3rd edition was
showing up in the 7 total I opened.
Old Friends is listed as a common. I have one out of 7 boxes.
1 Cog in 7 boxes FYI.

0 Cog in 2 boxes for me.
Not as bad as some people, but I am guessing what the new ebay highest
priced rare might just be...

Aren't Blood of the Sandman and The Becoming Uncommons?
If so it's pretty horrible to not ge 1 in 4 boxes :0

Uncommon, actually. 1 out of 7 boxes is low either way though :\

Clearly, someone spilled coffee on the Enkil Cogs. And the rest got
sent to South America :-)

I can confirm this experience.
I only had two boxes of boosters, but have 28 Rares now 2 times each.
Two Uncommons were not in the boxes at all.
And basically, there seems to be a randomizing issue with the Commons.
I really had the feeling that I had the same box twice.

I don't know what's wrong with you guys. I've pulled 3 or 4 in around 3.5
boxes. Maybe you should try being lucky!

I tried it and it didn't work. 2 boxes, no Enkil Cog, but really
that's the least of my troubles when I'm pulling one of a given common
per box sometimes such as the Old Friends 1 in 7 by Obtenebration.
Some of these new commons are rarer than rares. Good thing I pulled
some Sengir Daggers though. Hot damn that's a sight for sore eyes.
[ quoted text not captured ]
Together with some friends I opened 16 boxes. Rarity distribution was
fine, with a very even distribution of rares and uncommons for
everyone.
For some boxes I took notes of the rares. In all those boxes we had 36
different rares.
Generelly I think it is a good idea to "pool" your boxes with some
friends. I have done this for years. Normally we put all the rares
together and distribute them evenly, depending on the sets the
uncommons and vampires as well. This really saves a lot of trading...
Kind regards,
Marcus

I'm guessing Enkil Cog is on the corner of the rare sheet, much
like preternatural strength was for Lords of the Night.
Some good evidence for Old Friends to be on the corner as
well (a-la Street Cred)
If this is the case there are not fewer of them out there, just
someone
is getting a nice concentration in their boxes. Hopefully me.
Somehow I have failed to get around to opening my two boxes of
boosters
that have taunted me from my dining room table. I'll try to get around
to
it and see if I can see similar patterns.

That doesn't sound very lucky to me. Try again. If that doesn't work,
drafting is a great way to pick up the cards you want from a set.

Guys, guys, c'mon! You say South America like if this was a black
hole, where cards go and never return!!
Of course I can trade some of the 6 ECs from the single box I opened!

Corners: Unmasking, NRA Pact, Heart of the City, Ivory Bow.
Enkil is on an edge (other cards on the same edge: Unmasking, Charisma, Anarch
Troublemaker, Aaron's Feeding Razor, Blood Weakens, Specialization, New
Management, Renegade Garou, and NRA PAC).

It's not lucky. It's actually very unlucky. But I should say that
overall the distribution was decent for me rare-wise. It's more of a
not enough blue sprinkles on my doughnut complaint. It's always better
to pull say an Enkil Cog rather than a Sixth Tradition, even if that
Sixth Tradition was one of only two or three crappy rares.
[ quoted text not captured ]
None of which I have opened. Maybe in the next box.
Thanks for that insight into the printing, it is appreciated.

I got 2 6ths in my 2 boxes. As well as 3 Justicar votes, and a bunch of
other stuff I've had too many of since i bought my first box of Jyhad in
1994. But I am still reasonably happy with it overall.
I didn't get only a couple of new rares that I wanted, and some simple
trading with some friends fixed most of that.
Except the Cogs. No one would trade Cogs (probably because they only had
1 each themselves...)

I've got: Aaron's Feeding Razor, Blood Weakens, Specialization, New
Management, Renegade Garou, NRA PAC and Enkil Cog in one box.
Only 5 vampires were doubled from the whole box.

With 100 vampires in the set and 108 vampires in one box that is
unlikely unless you got too few vampires in your boosters.

Thank you, Matt, for demonstrating the power of positive thinking! You
are a shining example to us all! No wonder you are so good at draft!

Got one finally in the last box. As well as Aaron's feeding razor,
Renegade Garou, Unmasking, etc.
So, 1 Enkil Cog in 6 boxes...

Wow... so one of my boxes was totally edge:
In order of boosters opened, starting with the 10th booster down on the lef
side of the box I received: Charisma, Anarch Troublemaker, Aaron's Feeding
razor, Blood Weakens, Enkil Cog, Specialization, New Management, Renegade
Garou, and NRA PAC and unmasking appeared later on.
In both boxes of boosters commons were organized into repeated 5 card sets.
Commons never appeared outside of these sets, and always in the same order.
Not a terrible thing for commons I guess but if its indicative throughout
the set, it will make drafting interesting.
Vampires appear to be occuring in runs of the same order, although not
always in sync. (Eg in one booster received A,B,C next received D,E,F....
later in box vampires were B,C,D, then E,F,G etc). Makes for less duplicate
vamps I guess.
I'm also noticing common strings of rares in order. Will know more once I
finish recording the booster contenets for my second box.
