Just one question I have had since I first saw a version of this deck in the twd: what's the point of the Anarch Converts? If I am not mistaken, you cannot use them to cycle your crypt because all of your other vamps are titled... or are they just chump blockers? Emiliano

Mind Rape lasts until the end of the turn, so you can make someone Anarch... Was it useful ? Orph

"When the convert enters play, you may remove him from the game to make a non-titled vampire you control anarch and either gain 1 pool or draw a card from your crypt." If I read the card text correctly the second part cannot happen without the first part. Altough it is not a "remove to" or "by removing".

Altough it is not a "remove to" or "by removing". Having one in play already does not prevent later ones from using their as-played effects to turn vampires into anarchs. http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/eec83340db51ae75

But can you bring the second one into play and use his special to remove him even if you have only titled vampires and as long as the first one is already in play? I guess you can target the first one with the second one, even if it is already anarch.

LSJ

[ quoted text not captured ] If there is no target, the ability cannot be used, right. If there is a legal target, then it can be used.

I think Orpheus was right in his thinking. The converts are there to mess up another player by changing the sect of a mind raped vampire from Sabbat, Camarilla, or Laibon to independent (as well as cycle to your next crypt card). Just as an example, a laibon could be totally screwed by making orun or aye useless for that vampire, even worse Terra Incognita would be useless completely. (Maybe he was expecting a heavy Laibon environment?) It would be interesting to hear if this is what Erol was thinking.

[ quoted text not captured ] Yeah, one thing is to make mind raped minions to anarchs for faster crypt cycling, but I never had teh opprtunity to use it that way. There are actually four other useful things you can do with the AC: 1. Blocker - saved Arikas live once or twice 2. Defense against Anrach Revolts 3. Fast acting minion - gave me the advantage of having the Heart of Cheating in round 2 4. Target for diablerie - its not difficult to get the AC in torpor, so Mind Rape somebody and let him diablerize the AC, burn him, Orlando Oriundus is my favorite target :)

Did you find that 1 Entrancement was enough, or did you wish you had more? Ira

[ quoted text not captured ] The version I took with me, had 90 cards, +3 Zillahs Valley, +2 Entrancement, +3 Obedience and some other stuff I cant remember right now. My experience with the overall metagame I saw the days before, helped me with the decision to reduce the decksize, and actually that helped a lot. I never regretted it, it always seemed that I had the right cards in my hand. Just like in round 2 against Martin Major and his Salubri/!Ventrue Deck, without having the 5 Deflections in my hand, I wouldnt stood a chance against his bleed onslaught. There was not much dedicated combat or allies deck around, so the Entrancement and the Obedience could go. I think I increased stealth a little bit. To remove the Zillahs was a hard choice, lucky me I drew the Info Highway always early in the game, except for the Final. But as big Vampires seem to be the latest hype, with cards like Monastery of Shadows and Enkil Cog, I wasnt afraid of having a weenie deck behind me.
