Now this came up in the "if you think that..." thread. Augustus does not seem to have inherent stealth on his retreaval action. However wouldn't that be moot anyway? It is an action taken by a vampire the controlling methuselah's ready region not directing prey or predator. Wouldn't it therefore be a +1 stealth action per definition? It would IMO go along the same lines as a Graverobbing from my own torpor region, which would be at +1 Stealth. Would you please clarify this to me? Cardtext: Augustus Giovanni: 11/11 -AUS DOM NEC POT cel pre -Augustus has 2 votes. If a vampire you control has been burned since your last turn, Augustus may move that vampire from your ash heap to the ready region as an action that costs 1 pool. +1 bleed Thanks, Tim Eijpe

[ quoted text not captured ] I would say not, as he is performing a non-directed action, to retrieve a card from your ash heap. This is not the same as entering your own torpor region, as it is not in the minion play area. Just my own opinion of the wording, LSJ would probably have to confirm, or we could be arguing till the Antediluvians awake. Andy www.geocities.com/setitesuk

I meant that actions taken in your own ready region are at +1 stealth per default, right? That is what I meant with definition. And btw I should also have written down that this was hypthetical, as cardtext takes precedence over the rules. not that it matters, I was wrong anyway :) >> It would IMO go along >> the >> same lines as a Graverobbing from my own torpor region, which would be at +1 >> Stealth. > >It is not. That is what I meant with definition. No. What definition are you pointing to? This is not in the rules book, or any of the online rulings. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D "You reinstall Dial-Up Networking. Perhaps he got the impression that since actions to rescue oneself from torpor are at +1 stealth, actions to rescue other vampires in your own region are +1 stealth (but not when directed at others), and actions to diablerize your own vampires are at +1 stealth (but not diablerie of others' vampires), he got the incorrect impression that *all* actions concerning one's own torpor region get +1 stealth. [ quoted text not captured ] They are USUALLY at +1 stealth. This is not a rule, just happens to be so.

I already answered that, but I meant that *most* actions taken in your own ready region, and not directed at another Meth are at +1 stealth. I shouldn't have used the word definition. I already crawled back into the corner, again :)I checked out the rulebook just to be sure. And as I also said, this was merely hypothetical/theoretical. Cards take precedence over rules, and as nothing points out on the card that is is a +1 stealth action, it isn't. Tim [ quoted text not captured ]
