That goes ahead - he plays it. If he then declares his strike as hand damage with Wolf Claws, he has to pay for that also. Player B would, at this point, play his Strike: Combat Ends. You never get to play a Decapitate because no-one goes to torpor. Combat ends immediately at the start of strike resolution - no aggravated hand damage is dealt so no-one goes to torpor With regards to the Wolf Claws, Player A could wait until AFTER player B declares his strike to play the Wolf Claws so Player A, seeing a Strike: combat ends appear, could keep it in his hand (so as not to pay for it) or play it (to get rid of it if he has lots of them). However, this seems an odd thing to do anyway. If Player A uses a Disguised Weapon to get a Flamethrower, why not just use that as his strike and forget about the wolf claws? You do know that Wolf Claws only works on hand strikes and you can't hand strike and flamethrower strike at the same time? -- James Coupe (remove .nospam to reply by e-mail) If you find you are falling into madness - dive

This is how it has always been. The clarification has been that the wolf claws must be played during the choose strike phase, but may be played after the opposing (presumably blocking) minion has declared its strike. In effect, though not in the same explicit part of the combat sequence, wolf claws works like ammo cards. -Dave Green

Yup. And I do it all the time. It's no sense wasting not only the blood that the card costs, but the card as well if your opponent is going to play a S:CE. > +...and an angel will come, with burning eyes like stars...+ This is one of my favorite songs. Yes, scared is probably correct. But that *is* the right way to interpret it. [ quoted text not captured ]
