its a shame that Frederick the Weak cannot be in this deck ;) XZealot ha escrito: [ quoted text not captured ]

[ quoted text not captured ] Given that CIan Impersonation costs 2 blood and Muricia's special costs 1 blood per level of Spiritus, maybe you want a couple Hungry Coyotes? witness1

Nice job! Also note, that there's no prohibition from a vampire playing Clan Impersonation to choose the clan he or she already represents. You could have Una Clan Impersonate to !Gangrel, for example. > Crypt [12 vampires] Capacity min: 2 max: 7 average: 3.84 > ------------------------------------------------------------ > > 3x Muricia 7 ANI PRE SPI Ahrimane:4 > 1x Aiyana, The Wolfca 3 pre spi Ahrimane:4 Double heh. Or heck, some Blood Dolls! > Political Action [10] > 1x Cardinal Benediction > 9x Kine Resources Contested I'm not 100% sold on the vote angle, since you only have 2 title grabs and there isn't a ton of space for it. Just bleeding should be okay or else try to work in more permanent titles, I guess. > Retainer [8] > 8x D'habi Revenant I never thought I'd actually like a weenie presence deck. Great job! > > 8x Vulture's Buffet > > I love the Vulture's Buffet/D'habi tech. It's not new. D'habi revenants see play in any and all decks that rely on burning retainers or removing them from the game. Mata Hari + War Ghouls Vultures Buffet Corrupt Construction etc etc --> J grail_pbem "at" hotmail.com

> Political Action [10] > 1x Cardinal Benediction > 9x Kine Resources Contested I think this deck would be better losing the Vote angle and just going for dedicated bleed. Without vote push you're relying on the table allowing your votes to succeed which will more often than not result in damage hitting where you don't want it to. Removing the vote angle, you would have 16 cards to make into better choices. Some Aires, more Legal Manips, Entrancements, Speak with Spirits etc. I also think that the 8x Chameleon's Colors could be better cards considering it is only useable at long range. For me, I like to have a fall back option after I untap with Majesty. > I also think that the 8x Chameleon's Colors could be better cards > considering it is only useable at long range. or it's a maneuver or its a press which in non-combat heavy metagames is better than gambling that you will only take hands for 1. I am always leery of decks that start with, "So, my vampire Clan Impersonates. . . ," especially when you are functionally doing two of them to get each vampire into the right state of being :-). I like the way you are trying to use Muricia and Spiritus, but I would agree with other commentators that without a lot of vote push you could end up wasting your political actions when you could be bleeding your prey with more Legals or Aires at decent stealth. You could even toss in a few Marijava Ghouls for extra stealth on the Legals. The pool gain tech is neat, but I don't see any Blood Dolls, or other methods for getting blood on your vamps. A lot of your actions cost blood and there is no way other than hunting to get some back. Maybe a couple of Engling Furys? You could also drop the Regent, an Effective, and a Presence and get three Blood Dolls, which gives you tactical flexibility with your pool. I look forward to hearing how the deck works. Cheers, John

[ quoted text not captured ] 8x Vulture's Buffet 8x D'habi Revenant I missed them the first time, too. Vulture's Buffet is also a hunt action, so it works with Hungry Coyote, if there's room for it. witness1

Yes, I agree, and barring Masika, I generally never go for Clan Impersonation. I think there are some synergies here that warrent examination. >I like > the way you are trying to use Muricia and Spiritus, but I would agree > with other commentators that without a lot of vote push you could end > up wasting your political actions when you could be bleeding your prey > with more Legals or Aires at decent stealth. This will leave most of the vampires (3 caps) empty. You are then required to hunt. Vulture's Buffet is a hunt action by card text. So you are going to recoup that loss. > Maybe > a couple of Engling Furys? It sure does, but superior presence is better than a blood doll for this deck as it gains pool with the legal manipulations. > I look forward to hearing how the deck works. See you on JOL. XZealot

[ quoted text not captured ] Or they could just hunt using Vultures Buffet while giving me pool in the process. [ quoted text not captured ]

I see where you're going with that. I would just be concerned about blocky decks making you sad on the hunts. The advantage to Blood Doll is that it can't be stopped, except when placed on your vamp. > > Maybe > > a couple of Engling Furys? Right. You definitely have the pool gain angle covered. I would just be concerned about keeping your little vamps in blood, and Blood Doll gives you the flexibility to utilize and control your pool in different ways. > > I look forward to hearing how the deck works. > > See you on JOL. Soon! I signed up, and once I am no longer on dial-up in a week or so I hope to start playing on JOL. I have a Eurayle allies deck and a POT/THAU deck put together. . . . Cheers, John

Sometime you don't have the revenant in the ash heap and need some blood. A single media influence gives blood to everyone. So it's still a nice complement.

[ quoted text not captured ] Look! There are D'habis with burn clauses. ....but you are right. They would make a nice addition.

reyda

[ quoted text not captured ] I wonder how came this idea of revenant/vulture to your creative mind ? :)

I saw the Bewitches, but without them you have no titles, unless you get your 1 Cardinal Benediction off. So, you're asking the table to pass your votes. And a single Bewtich only generates 4 votes + 1 for the action for 5 votes. Often not enough. As such, with 16 cards for votes (including the push), it's too big an investment for possibly little or no return. --> J

[ quoted text not captured ] Did you invent it? [ quoted text not captured ]

reyda

[ quoted text not captured ] nope but i saw a french player use it not long after the lob expansion came out. i was wondering if he did not take the idea from one of your crazy decks :)

Muricia's ability grants the discipline, but the Clan Impersonation overrides the clan change.

talonz

[ quoted text not captured ] Both Muricia and clan impersonation are cards in play. Whichever card generates the last effect would take precedence one would think. Ah well, monger allowed me to find some related rulings. Brain has now filed it under 'those wacky vtes rulings'. G

Whichever card > generates the last effect would take precedence one would think. Muricia's being in play doesn't cloak the vampire's clan. That's not an effect of her being in play. Her special allows the ability to take make some activity. The activity's effect (at resolution, not from card-in-play) is what changes the clan. If she leaves play, the vampires that used her special would still receive the benefit of that change.

Muricia remaining in play has no effect on the granted discipline or clan. > Is there some wacky ruling on this?
