Could someone be so kinda as to answer a few questions that have come up in a couple of recent games.. Is Burning Wrath a hand strike ? If you use The Art of Love to take control of an ally does the ally untap ? If your vampire is not a Tremere and you steal The Sword of Nuln the vampire would still be able to use the sword I belilve, If this is the case does it still apply to The Sword of Judgment which specifies "Only usable by a Brujah Antitribu" in the card text also? If you play Secure Haven on a vampire & then the vampire has Haven Uncovered played on it - What effect does this have ? Does playing Save Fave tap the vampire that playes it ? Thanks very much Piers

Yes. It is a non-weapon, non-ranged strike that does damage based on the striking minion's strength. Any strike that meets that definition is a hand strike. > If you use The Art of Love to take control of an ally does the ally untap ? No. The only things that untap a minion are starting your untap phase and card text. > If your vampire is not a Tremere and you steal The Sword of Nuln the vampire > would still be able to use the sword I belilve, If this is the case does it > still apply to The Sword of Judgment which specifies "Only usable by a > Brujah Antitribu" in the card text also? Card text applies in both cases, yes. Nuln places no restriction on the weilder. Judgment does. > If you play Secure Haven on a vampire & then the vampire has Haven Uncovered > played on it - What effect does this have ? The (D) action option given by the Haven Uncovered is still not usable, since no (D) actions may be made against the Secured vampire. > Does playing Save Fave tap the vampire that playes it ? No. The only things that taps a minion are acting, successfully blocking, and card text. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Wrath) are hand strikes. >If you use The Art of Love to take control of an ally does the ally untap ? No, per card text. And from what i know this hasn't been changed. >If your vampire is not a Tremere and you steal The Sword of Nuln the vampire would still be able to use the sword I belilve correct >, If this is the case does it still apply to The Sword of Judgment which specifies "Only usable by a Brujah Antitribu" in the card text also? Sword of Judgement cannot be used by anyone who is not a Brujah antitribu, sword of Nuln does not have similar text, so it can be used by anyone, though it can be equipped only by a Tremere. So, you can equip it with a Tremere, then transfer it (e.g. via Heidelberg) to a vampire of another clan and it will still be perfectly usuable. >If you play Secure Haven on a vampire & then the vampire has Haven Uncovered >played on it - What effect does this have ? The methuselah playing the Haven Uncovered will burn 1 pool, but no vampire will be able to enter combat with the minion having the Secure Haven as long as Secure Haven remains in play and on that minion. >Does playing Save Fave tap the vampire that playes it ? No, combat cards by default are playable by tapped vampires and do not tap the minion that plays them, Save Face states that it requires an untapped vampire, but DOES NOT say that you should tap him, so the vampire playing it should be untapped, but playing it does not tap him. > Is Burning Wrath a hand strike ? yes... > If you use The Art of Love to take control of an ally does the ally untap ? why should he? no... > If your vampire is not a Tremere and you steal The Sword of Nuln the vampire would still be able to use the sword I belilve, If this is the case does it still apply to The Sword of Judgment which specifies "Only usable by a Brujah Antitribu" in the card text also? ? you just answered your own question. no, since TSoJ says: "Only usable by a Brujah Antitribu"... > If you play Secure Haven on a vampire & then the vampire has Haven Uncovered played on it - What effect does this have ? he has both cards on him. but since he cant be targeted by D actions, and the Haven Uncovered action is such a D action (read he card), nobody can use it (though the said minion can use the remove HU action)... > Does playing Save Fave tap the vampire that playes it ? since when do combat cards tap the minions playing them?
