Newbie (well back from the grave) question

ok, this may be really dumb but I just don't knwo the answer. Back in the day I played Jyhad and liked it a lot, the problem was no one else in my area seemed to so I lost interest. Now I've found some people and might get some games going. My question is, what is the difference between Jyhad and Vampire? Are they the same game or different? Are Jyhad cards usable with Vampire cards? Any info would be appreciated. thanks thurgood

Note: many cards have been reprinted with clarified and sometimes functionally different card texts.
