I researched Google and found that you can't play another UP if your opponent successfully presses to end combat. Can you play a Telepathic Tracking to continue? How about another UP and a Telepathic Tracking to continue combat? How about playing a Psyche when combat is ending due to agg damage? or a UP and a Psyche at superior? How do these cards work in combonation? -- Comments Welcome, Norman S. Brown, Jr. XZealot Archon of the Swamp

Note: all references to UP are to the non-superior version: Correct. UP requires you to be on your way to torpor, which you are not, by the previously played UP. > Can you play a Telepathic Tracking to continue? Yes. > How about another UP and a Telepathic Tracking to > continue combat? Can't play "another UP", as before. > How about playing a Psyche when combat is ending due to agg damage? No. Psyche! requires both minions to be ready. Combat is ending "due to agg damage" means that one of the combatants is no longer ready (which is how agg damage ends combat). > or a UP and a Psyche at superior? Yes. The UP'ed vampire will not fall into torpor from UP's effect until after the Psyche! combat. But, and I'd overlooked this before, the Psyche! combat ends as soon as it begins, since the formerly-UPed vampire is no longer being propped up by the UP. Since he's no longer ready, combat ends (unless he plays another UP for this new combat, of course). Pass the aspirin. :-) -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. You must play UP after the press phase to be able to play the Psyche. Once the new combat starts you must immediately play another UP to keep from going to torpor because it is a new combat and the old UPs only affected the last combat. Great! You can play the UP at any (appropriate) time. Then, when combat ends (possible much later), play Psyche! Then play an UP in the new combat to remain propped up. [ quoted text not captured ]

By my count there are no less than 5 vampires with CEL FOR. Stanislava, Gwendolyn, Hrothulf, Maxwell, and Tegyrius. Halcyan 2

Wouldn't there be a sliver of time between the combats where you would get dropped since there is no opportunity to play UP? or does the Psyche combat happen immediately after with no space in between? just for clarification, but i'm guessing the latter oscar
