With only 50 tickets available, the 7pm Thursday tournament sold out at
10:37am.
We ended up with 68 players (using generic tickets to get their seats), with
18
new players registered on-site. Quite a pleasant surprise for so early in
the con.
I had been off the plane for only 4 hours and had to send Joe Churchill down
to the
corner store to buy some note cards since I left mine in my hotel room, but
otherwise
the tournament went very smoothly.
The finalists were:
Scott Cristofersen (9/120) Malk S&B
Jeff Thompson (6.5/120) Lasombra vote
Niki Stewart (6/108) Toreador Obfuscate
Mark Loughman (5/120) Ganrel pets
James Macleod (5/108) Malk S&B
Seating was Mark, Niki, James, Scott, Jeff
Scott won with all 5 VPs.
Jeff was ousted first, in about 30 minutes.
Mark was ousted next, at the 45 minute mark.
Niki was ousted at the 1 hour mark.
James was ousted on the following turn.
