Is bleeding somebody the only way you can gain the Edge?
A couple of us recall reading somewhere that if you win a Political Action
and the Edge is in the center of the table, that you gain it then as well.
I can't find this anywhere now, after reading the rule booklet and the copy
that Wizards sent me.

Pretty much. There's a vote that will get you it, and a Ventrue who can
take it for you if it's uncontrolled, but bleeding is the usual way of
getting the Edge, yes.

Not correct. They may be thinking of the rule that you can trade the
Edge in for a vote...

Bleeding anyone will get you the Edge.
