No, but it doesn't matter. A contested card is untapped when
control is acheived (i.e., all other copies are yielded and
you are in your untap phase.)

Since contested cards only return to your control during your
own untap phase, the point is moot. It will untap right after
it becomes uncontested. Note that though the other methuselah
yields during HIS untap, you do not regain control until
your OWN untap.
More precisely, a card that falls out of contention comes into play untapped.
If it was tapped when it became contested, it does not enter play tapped, and
then become untapped.
