Mixed-colour card-protectors for your crypt - legal?

Michael has built a Malkavian antitribu combat deck which he calls his Chess deck - chess because he can. In keeping with the theme, he has sleeved all the crypt cards in red sleeves, while exactly half the library cards are in black sleeves, and half are in white sleeves. i was wondering idly whether this would be legal in tournament play, given that mixed-back Jyhad/VTES libraries ARE ok provided no marking is going on. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks in advance for any help!

[ quoted text not captured ] Not legal. [VEKN 4.6] -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Links to revised rulebook, rulings, errata, and tournament rules: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/

[ quoted text not captured ] As long as he isn't actually using the different color ones to denote a specific set of cards (like, for instance, making all the stealth mods in red...so he knows that if he is drawing a red card, it has a good chance of being a stealth card). Generally speaking, while not illegal, it should be frowned upon...it just *looks* illegal:-) Of course, there is no problem if your crypt is all one color, and your library is another color. I do that all the time. jim -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG

[VEKN 4.6] Variation on the theme : does every player HAVE to put non-transparent protections on his cards, or can he mix some Jyhad / VTES backed cards ?

Explicitly answered in [VEKN 4.1] (mixed-backs) and [VEKN 4.6] (sleeves). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I believe you are mistaken Jim. I cannot understand how it could be legal. In a tournament it would mean analysing every deck to ensure that there was no pattern to the sleeving...what a waste of time. -scrote
