I'm thinking of putting together an intercept deck, and one question
occured to me: if I want to block someone's equip action, can I do it
after I see what the equiment in question is, or do I have to declare
a block before seeing the card? I'm not worried about .44 magnum
equips, but flame throwers on the other hand... :-)
BTW, in light of the recent discussion about the killer combo Fame +
Dawn Action (or was it Day... the one that can't be blocked and
results in torpor, anyway), I'm not sure that some of the recent
rulings are very smart. If I remember correctly, there have been
rulings saying that
a) Eagle's Sight can't block Dawn Action
and
b) Fame is cumulative.
Seems to me that these make the Fame+Dawn combo *way* too powerful,
since threr isn't really any way to block it. In multi-player games
you can use Telepathic Redirection, but in two-player games you can't
do *anything*. If someone has a vamp with two or three Fames on it and
(ugh) possibly some bleed enhancers, you can take out somebody with
one bleed :-( I'm not objecting to the fact that a powerful combo
exists, but I don't like the fact that there doesn't seem to be any
counter to it under the current rulings. Oh well...

I'm not sure about this, but I believe if said meth. wants to equip with a
weapon, he must show it when he equips. IF he says this vamp/minion is taking
a equipping action and shows no cards, thats fine, the vamp/minion equips with
nothing this turn. (same thing if he doesn't show a face up card)

Anyone know about this one? Eagle's sight does allow your vamp to block any
action it would seem.

First of all, Fame has been ruled as NOT cumulative. But still the Day
Operation is one of the most powerful cards if used for devestating
bleeds. Even if your prey keeps you from going to torpor with a minor
boon, you still get of a huge, unstoppable bleed. Use Ventrue with Tasha
or J.S. +Govern and Conditioning +Fame on a Day Operation and you'll
almost unfailingly oust people. I only wish I had more Day Operations to
go with my 8 Fames. 8-)
Hi, i'm a new at this game and when I saw your post I was wondering about
the idea of a intercept deck. If I understand correctly, Intercepting
is like being able to block. Exactly how would you win with this type
of deck? I would understand a stealth deck or a sugar happy Catif (whatever)
deck, but how would you win with a deck based on interception?

Yes, players considering whether to block an equip action know which piece
of equipment is involved.
Eagle's Sight just allows the vampire to attempt to block any given
action. If the action has been made unblockable via Day Operation or
Seduction or what have you, then that attempt is guaranteed to fail.
Multiple Fames are not cumulative; this is a reversal. Jyhad was starting
to follow a dangerous path of having errata to every effect that seemed
abusive when cumulative, but we avoided that. The Fame errata was mostly
"ew, that's gross" errata, so got reversed. Army of Rats still has errata
since it was never supposed to have been cumulative.

If you are playing bleed enhancers on a famous vampire then sometimes it is
just cheaper to send him/her to torpor. I'd rather take out the famous
vampire and lose 4 blood (3 + 1 per turn) then diablerize with a cheap
vampire than take a couple of 2-6 pool bleed hits.

But second of all, Fame has been ruled as cumulative too:

Your 11/28 ruling has been re reversed, Multiple Fames on same Vampire
are not Cumulative.
The best stopper to a Famous vampire with a large bleed is BURNING. No
bleed, no Fame, no more problem. Unfortunately, the Day Op cannot be
blocked, and I can't think of any way to burn the operator. A well
planned operation will do 6 bleed, and 3 from fame. Best defense is
misdirection for the bleed part, but you still take damage from the fame.
One other option: if the vamp involved happens to be Brujah, Frenzy it...
