Couple of Questions about cards

Just a couple of quick questions. 1. Can Rafastio Ghoul or Talaq play Skin of the Chameleon at inferior? 2. If a Bum's Rush action is blocked, the action fails. Do I get to draw a card to replace BR due to the action failing? 3. Order of Hermes Cabal is in combat and is placed in an Immortal Grapple. Does he still hit for Agg? That's it for today :-) BernieTime

>1. Can Rafastio Ghoul or Talaq play Skin of the Chameleon at inferior? Skin of the Chameleon (outferior) requires Thaumaturgy. So sure, Rafastio and Talaq can play it (paying a life). >2. No you do not draw a card to replace, because the action hasn't necessarily failed. (Form of Mist, etc. may continue the action). >3. Order of Hermes Cabal is in combat and is placed in an Immortal >Grapple. Does he still hit for Agg? No. Order of Hermes can do 1R agg, but the agg doesn't apply to hand damage. Halcyan 2

(Form of Mist, etc. may continue the action). Also, you do not replace Bum's Rush until after the action has ended, the combat resulting from a block is still part of the action, the action is not over until it has finished resolving, which includes any combat as a result of a successful action, or until after the combat resulting from a successful block.

So sure, Rafastio and >Talaq can play it (paying a life). [Card Text at end of message] I'm only a bit unsure of the quick answer on this as Skin of the Chameleon notates "This Vampre". While not wanting to get all rules-lawyery, much of the semantics of newer cards use the terminology "Minion" - or - "Vampire". Granted these Allies note that they can play Thaumaturgy cards at inferior as a Vampire. Just wondering if the text on SotC mungs up Rafastio's or Talaq from playing it? BernieTime <SNIP: Answers to questions I was pretty sure of> >Halcyan 2 Skin of the Chameleon Only usable as an action is announced. If this action is blocked, this vampire gets an optional maneuver or press during the resulting combat. +1 stealth, with an optional maneuver or press if this actoin is blocked and combat occurs. As above, but with +2 stealth

Since it resolves when played, and the ally is "as a vampire" when played, there's no problem. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
