In a seperate thread, a question is raised as to what constitues a Mortal? >To the best of my knowledge Mages are mortals. Ghouls are mortals by definition. > Check the definition of Ghouls in the rulebook. > Unfortunately, there is no definitive clarification in the rulebook or errata section to be found It would be pretty obvious that the following are not Mortal. Mummies Wraiths Demons Werewolves Less obvious, is to ask if the following are considered Mortals in addition to thier listed classification Mages Ghouls Thanks! BernieTime Lansing, Michigan

[ quoted text not captured ] While Mages and Ghouls are technically Mortal, I get the feeling that the distinction, at least here, is the supernatural aspect. Mages (and I think Ghouls) are Awakened beings, and are thus not subject to the Delirium effect from Garou. Mages stand out from the sleepers that form the rest of society. As are ghouls, who aren't at the same level of "kine" in vampiric society. If you look at the list of Mortals, you'll see that most of them are, well, rather "normal." The only real exceptions are hunters (not sure which are actually Hunters) but that group tends to be an exception anyway. And then pseudo-mystical guys like Vagabond Mystic and Fortune Teller. Still nothing like mages who can shape reality. Halcyan 2

TheLasombra's site has a file listing all the clasificiations. go check it out: http://www.thelasombra.com the link to the list is in the 'rules' section, just under the link to the bloodlines misprints. the text on 'ghouled' also implies that you can't be two types at once: 'This ally is considered a ghoul and not a mortal.' hope that helps, salem.

As you said earlier, this isn't inherent in designators. Highway Haven is both a Vehicle and a Haven, for instance. (And, indeed, equipment.) There's nothing actually *stopping* someone being a Ghoul and a Mortal, except current card text. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D Lucky that my breasts are small and humble, EBD690ECD7A1FB457CA2 So you don't confuse them with mountains. 13D7E668C3695D623D5D
