Some questions form a confused player

Hi, I have some questions concerning timing in VTES: 1) Karimana Benghazi has a Magnum on her. Player controlling her has untapped Heidelburg Castle. His predator plays Anachronism on Karimana. Can a player tap HC in 'response' to Anachronism? Or not? What with Constantin, Baro of the Caravan special ability? He declares using it, can I tap HC in response? If so, what happens to Baro, does his action fizzles? 2) Can a wampire with OBF in torpor play Cloak the Gathering at superior? 3) What happens when I play successfully a Seeds of Corruption card on Karimana Benghazi with some counters on her (from her special ability)? Does the player controlling her have to discard cards and have original hand size till she gets back?

Anachronism resolves immmediately (like most cards) > What with Constantin, Baro of the Caravan special ability? He declares > using it, can I tap HC in response? If so, what happens to Baro, does > his action fizzles? You can't tap HC during an action (card text). After the action is declared it has already begun, so you can't use the HC. > 2) Can a wampire with OBF in torpor play Cloak the Gathering at > superior? No, card text ('Usable by a ready vampire...') > 3) What happens when I play successfully a Seeds of Corruption card on > Karimana Benghazi with some counters on her (from her special > ability)? I'd say yes, but precedent by Tegyrius seems to suggest that the counters themselves increase the hand size, regardless of her special being active (ie, the last sentence on her special defines the properties of the counters, and those are not affected by Seeds). LSJ? Flux

"While she is ready, your hand size is +X, where X is the number of research counters on her." Her text imparts no ability to the counters. Her special is deactivated by Seeds. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. [ quoted text not captured ] Tegyrius' ability allows any Assamite to take an action to put an Allegiance counter on themselves. Those were the counters I was refering to, since LSJ has clarified that Assamites with those counters will still be Camarilla even if Tegyrius leaves play. Flux

I fail to see what differs in her text to make this her own ability (as opposed to Tegyrius). Just because it refers to her specifically, it could just mean that the counter's ability would be void in any other vampire (but would still exist). This may have been asked when the Tegyrius question came up, but I'll ask again: what does a counter 'remember'? Why would Allegiance counters 'remember' to give Camarilla status to 'any vampire', and Research counters fail to remember to give you +X hand size when on Kanimana and 'while she is ready'? Flux

[ quoted text not captured ] Mm, don't know for sure about kanmana: anyway tegyrius' counters don't even need tegyrius to be in play. "any assamite with an alliance counter is a camarilla vampire"; it has nothing to do with tegyrius' specia:. his special is just to put alliance counters in play. hope this helps ciao Emiliano, v:ekn prince of Rome > > > Flux >

[ quoted text not captured ] understood =) The counter themselves represent the fact that the assamites are camarilla, then ...

Thanks for your answers and help :) I am also confused on whether Fast Reactions played after a combat ended via Mirror Image (chemistry) would cancel the special of MI? I would be very grateful if anyone can post a link to this specific ruling on combat ends and such cards like Fast Reaction and Psyche. Thanks in advance, Gurus, VTES player from Poland.

Any new combat or continuation of combat would fizzle the "continue action" effect. > I would be very grateful if anyone can post a link to this specific > ruling on combat ends and such cards like Fast Reaction and Psyche. http://groups.google.com/groups?q=msgid%3a3CD0043...@white-wolf.com [ quoted text not captured ]
