So, now that the Storyline tournaments are over, is there any update available on when and what White Wolf might do with the results? A few weeks back a pending press release on the next expansion was mentioned. Is any new information available on when that's likely to arrive? and on a bit more nitty-gritty level... I believe that the V:EKN Constructed Tournament rules on decks used to say that an unsleeved deck with mixed V:TES and Jyhad backs had to have at least 40% of both backs (in addition to other requirements that are still there - like 3 "types"). But I don't see the 40% rule there any more. Is that no longer a rule? When did it change? Is the mixed backs within types rules what replaced it or has that been there a while? Thanks -Ben Swainbank

What: incorporate them into the VtM RPG material. When: ASAP. :-) > A few weeks back a pending press release on the next expansion was > mentioned. It is no longer a rule. Quite some time ago (when the DCI was still actively supporting VTES). The former. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. In particular, it looks likely from the unofficial results that the Lasombra won as a clan but the Camarilla won as a sect (given the Lasombra discipline set and the Traditions, I'm not surprised at either). Does anybody know what takes precedence? Curt Adams (curt...@aol.com) "It is better to be wrong than to be vague" - Freeman Dyson

Does anybody know what takes precedence? I've discussed this with others and there are a whole variety of ways this could be represented in the CCG: If a Camarilla or Sabbat vampire won, they could have a Princedom or Archbishop-(hood?). An Independent who won could have a new vampire with 2 votes and something about Baltimore in the title. You could give the new clan a new clan card that represents control of Baltimore. There could be some new card (say, Powerbase: Baltimore). Usable by other clans but it does something a little extra with members of the winning clan. Wussy prize: a Praxis Seizure or Crusade where "If the Prince is <winning clan>, his or her capacity is increased by 1." If the issue was really contested, you could do something like have a Lasombra clan card that is burnable as a (D) action. Camarilla vampires get +1 stealth when performing that action. Etc, etc, etc. Halcyan 2

In message <20020314180832...@mb-dh.aol.com>, curt...@aol.com (CurtAdams) mumbled something about: >In particular, it looks likely from the unofficial results that the >Lasombra won as a clan but the Camarilla won as a sect (given >the Lasombra discipline set and the Traditions, I'm not surprised >at either). Does anybody know what takes precedence? I think it should have a Ventrue who was impersonating the Lasombra Archbishop of Baltimore suddenly reveal himself as having been manipulating the Sabbat in Baltimore this whole time, and have to be taken down with a shotgun with Dragon's Breath rounds by some overgrown Sabbat !Brujah Templar and about ten other schmucks in a crazy battle in someone's garage. And I think I should get BONUS +4 EXTRA DOUBLE FUN POINTS for creativity and originality, and some other words that end in 'y'. -- "There's no gray. There's just white that's got grubby." -- T.P.

Does anybody know what takes precedence? Hmm... does anything need to take precedence? A Lasombra antitibru Prince of Baltimore would be theoretically possible... maybe an unexpected change of heart in a former Sabbat Lasombra related to some new turn of events engineered by Lucita (who probably was in half of the winning Lasombra decks, anyway). I think it should be quite interesting to see if/how WW incorporates the runners-up clans into the storyline... did the Sabbat Lasombra merely lose their hold over the side due to the completely unexpected interference from the Ravnos? What is the Ventrues' angle? Who did the Brujah kill? And why did the Gangrel bother, anyway? Thomas
