Anyone understand how undead persistence works? (the normal version only) Basically, I'm asking for an official translation b/c the way its worded now is kinda dubious.

Undead Persistence (normal) is only usable when the vampire would be sent to torpor during combat and... -> Prevents the vampire from going to torpor -> For the rest of the combat, prevents the vampire from going to torpor at all if no card has been played within the 3 rounds prior to it being sent to torpor -> Gives one optional press The "or within 3 rounds" part is mainly useful if Trap was played at the beginning of the combat. Otherwise, you have to keep playing presses to keep continuing the combat. Tom Wylie rec.games.trading-cards.* Network Representative for aa...@hal.com Wizards of the Coast, Inc.

If that vampire then uses undead persistence, will basilia's next hit burn it or will it have basically no effect? thanks in advance -josh

It means that if the vampire is sent to torpor again, it looks to see if any cards (including Undead Persistence) have been used in the last three rounds, and if so, the vampire does not go to torpor. This is just like Trap checking to see if cards have been played. >>-> Gives one optional press >Also, what happens if the said minion does aggravated damage(ie basilia). >if the vampire has 0 blood counters on it, and basilia hits it, it will goto >torpor. Aggravated damage will only burn a vampire outright if it does more than one damage in a single shot. The Persisting vampire will ignore 1-point aggravated strikes just as it would ignore 1-point normal strikes. I believe a multidamage aggravated strike would still burn the vampire outright in spite of Undead Persistence, but will double check that. [ quoted text not captured ]
