When you are playing an action modifier that gives you votes do you have to play it before voting starts? Can you play if after everyone else has cast their votes? Can you play it while votes are being cast? I would assume that you can only play it before voting is finished, becuase it "gives you votes" and if you used it after voting is done you couldn't do anything with those votes. Could someone email the answer to me? Thanks. rourkem@seas.upenn.edu

Thanks. : rourkem@seas.upenn.edu Well, in my circle we played that those action modifiers could be played during voting. I admit though I didn't gave much thought to this matter and maybe I should. Offhand, I would say you could since a political action is not completed until the vote is passed or (previously) blocked. An other argument in this sense is Delaying Tactics, a Reaction that cancels a political action. It does not say when to play it (as in immidiatly after a political action passes blocking phase, or anytime during voting (like if you see your side won't win)), so we can suppose we can play it anytime. And yes, they can only be played during voting (else, what for? wasting valuable votes to gain what???) -- Karrde "I've found that what people call luck if often little more than raw talent combined with the ability to make the most of opportunities." You would be able to use it while votes are being cast (and most say you would have to use it then, not before), and could wait to see how people were casting their "free" votes (from princes, Ventrue Headquarters, and so on) before deciding whether to use an action modifier or reaction to gain votes. Remember that you can't use action modifiers or reactions during a bloodhunt vote. >I would assume that you can only play it before voting is finished, becuase it >"gives you votes" and if you used it after voting is done you couldn't do >anything with those votes. Right, you would have to use it before voting had closed. Tom Wylie rec.games.deckmaster Network Representative for aahz@hal.com Wizards of the Coast, Inc.
