Hello, I didn't include your last response but it was along the lines of amaranth can be used after rotscheck (assuming it works against the tremere recipient and not the gangrel clawing dude) ok, can amaranth still be used after rotscheck since it is a combat type card. Because, rotscheck states it "ends combat before damage is dealt" does this mean i cannot play any more combat cards or can i still amaranth, wolf claw, etc. after a rotscheck has been played? thanx in advance tiamat@alpha2.csd.uwm.edu

When Rotschreck is played, combat ends, by virtue of the vampire entering torpor, if for no other reason. This is like any other time a vampire enters torpor during combat; cards modifying the vampire's entry into torpor (Amaranth, Minor Boon) may be used, but there isn't time to use any other kind of combat card. BTW, assume that if people start getting into Amaranth vs. Minor Boon "slap" situations, the order in which cards can be played follows the Lady Thunder vs. Elysium ruling, namely that acting player gets first crack, then blocking, then everyone else going clockwise from the acting player. I will double check on this. Tom Wylie rec.games.deckmaster Network Representative for aahz@hal.com Wizards of the Coast, Inc.
