JYHAD Voting Question

The local Jyhad group, when voting, gives each Methuselah one vote automatically. For example, if I call a vote, I get one vote from the political action card plus one "automatic" vote. I can't find anything in either the original or corrected rules that allows the automatic vote, but I also can't find anything that directly contradicts it. Can anyone give a compelling argument either for or against the One Methuselah, One Vote policy? I would be especially interested in knowing the original intent of the rules. As I read them, no Methuselah should automatically get a vote, but I'm way outnumbered in that belief. I would sure like to see this addressed in the next FAQ or corrected rules.

Your reading is correct. The ways of getting votes are listed in section 17.1, and nowhere does it say they get votes for free. If people don't want to be left out of votes, tell them to stock up on titled vampires and/or political cards.
