http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazines/inquest/2005iqfanawards.cfm Seeing as how Inquest screwed over WW, everyone should go here and write in the following: BEST CCG: "VTES" (write-in) BEST CCG EXPANSION: "VTES LEGACIES OF BLOOD" (write-in) BEST MAGIC PRODUCT: "VTES" (write-in) BEST MINIATURES PRODUCT: "RACER KNIGHTS" (write-in) Also, toss in a write-in vote for your favorite fan artist, such as "Gines Quinonero" or "Steve Prescott" (my avorite). Have fun working against The Man. ;) Kevin M. "Know your enemy, and know yourself; in one-thousand battles you shall never be in peril." -- Sun Tzu, *The Art of War* "Contentment... Complacency... BEST TABLETOP GAME: Caylus Because, simply, it is. An amazing game, especially if you like Peurto Rico. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/18602 Matt Green

So you'll have to write in the blank "Other" field, as he suggests. Now, I can't say a thing since I didn't ever know that most of the games listed exist. But I'll vote VTES anyway ;D Fabio "Sooner" Macedo

So you can vote for something like the Kindred Most Wanted expansion for Vampire: The Eternal Struggle for "Best CCG Expansion," but not the Vampire CCG itself since it debuted in 1994." > BEST CCG EXPANSION: "VTES LEGACIES OF BLOOD" (write-in) > This however, is a perfectly acceptable vote, and one which I went ahead and wrote in. Though I believe the format they're looking for would be as follows: Legacies of Blood (Vampire: The Eternal Struggle CCG) Not trying to be an ass about it, just concerned that if the write-in votes aren't consistent they might not be tabulated together. As an internet survey it will probably be tabulated by machine, and you could end up with VTES LEGACIES OF BLOOD, VTES LoB, and Legacies of Blood (Vampire: The Eternal Struggle CCG) each having separate votes. I know it seems obvious they're all the same, but honestly I've seen it happen before on similar web based "Best of..." polls. > BEST MAGIC PRODUCT: "VTES" (write-in) > All right, well, I guess we all know this is just to thumb our noses at them anyhow, so the validity of it doesn't really matter! > BEST MINIATURES PRODUCT: "RACER KNIGHTS" (write-in) > Haven't played it myself, so I chose to abstain on this one in favor of those who actually play miniatures. Noticed a couple other categories some may want to use to further support WW though: BEST RPG: Mage: The Awakening Personally, I was very impressed with what they did in the new Mage, so it easily got my vote. BEST RPG SUPPLEMENT: Lancea Sanctum (Vampire: The Requiem) This is the only WW product listed in the category, but I think they've had several excellent supplements this year. So I'd suggest either vote for your favorite, or we can all get behind the Sanctified, just to present a united front of support for the company. BEST CARD GAME: Pimp: The Backhanding I own it and love it, and if you don't you should! Pimp is a serious blast, and a great laugh. I can't wait for the first expansion. I need more Pimps and 'Ho's!

Not that I own the book yet, but all I've read about it so far was pretty good. Since it uses the same corebook as the others and I've read detailed reviews on the new magic system, I felt appropriate to vote on it anyway. Also, I didn't like Werewolf: the Forsaken *that* much. > BEST RPG SUPPLEMENT: Lancea Sanctum (Vampire: The Requiem) > > This is the only WW product listed in the category, but I think they've > had several excellent supplements this year. So I'd suggest either > vote for your favorite, or we can all get behind the Sanctified, just > to present a united front of support for the company. I thought about it. But the nWoD regular supplements are too good to ignore. I was not sure whichever came first - Antagonists or Ghost Stories - and which one was released this year, so I voted Ghost Stories. > BEST CARD GAME: Pimp: The Backhanding > > I own it and love it, and if you don't you should! Local FGLS didn't import it, and I'm stuck to WW's store if I want to order a copy. So it might take a while, since they only send the goods via FedEx. Too expensive a shipping for such a small order. best, Fabio "Sooner" Macedo

if you read the entry form the only games that can be entered are those that were release in the year 2005. so therefore the VTES LEGACIES OF BLOOD does work for it was released in Nov. Heck you can use Kindred Most Wanted as well. You can't enter V:TES as best ccg because it came out in the year 1994.

Going further, since hardly any Card Game ever gets released in here (that's why local CCG players are used to call them "card games" also): Card Games have no collectible nature. You can order a single P:tB deck and up to 4 players can use it. Think of it as a regular deck of cards for poker or something similar - there's no point in buying another unless you have more than one table of players at the same time, or your previous copy of it has gotten unusable by too much wear or the loss of a card. best, Fabio "Sooner" Macedo

Christopher Shy got my vote. But Damnans is a dam' fine chap and great painter. <snip> Thanks for the heads-up on this one, Kev! And although i don't buy into WW's RPGs too much i also did vote for Pimp the Backhanding as best non-CCG card game in the qualifying interval, and encourage others to try this rather fine game out.
