I like this new ruling of only Cam vs. Cam. It's mean lol. It sucks
for my Setites, though.
I disagree with the "only 1 Archbishop or Prince per city rule'
let'em fight!!
Quick question to the ppl with new cards; Is Thoughts betrayed
reprinted and if so with the word "strike' on it?

Same here and I really hope that this is reversed.
But one slight problem is that they've printed a new card that seems to support
this new ruling. Courtesy of Ethan's Library Monger:
Blood Siege
Worth 1 Vote. Called by any Archbishop, Priscus, or Cardinal at +1 stealth.
No action modifiers can be played during or after this referendum. Choose a
ready Sabbat vampire and a ready prince. Successful referendum means that that
prince loses his title and the Sabbat vampire becomes archbishop of that city.
Any ready vampire can gain votes during this referendum by burning one blood
per vote gained.
I personally don't like this card and methinks (IMO) that it may be a tad
broken. Well at least all of those people whining about how the Camarilla has
so many advantages over the Sabbat will have to tone down a bit. Blood Siege is
not only a Crusade, but it ALSO strips a Prince of his title (a la Command of
the Harpies). Of course it would be hard to use against dedicated vote decks,
but the casual deck that "happens" to have a Prince might easily fall victim to
the Siege.

The card doesn't state that you may not play reaction cards, so Dread
Gaze(s) are allowed? And I'd guess you could use that Closed-Session-
for_sabbat card in conjunction with he card as well?

You may play Dread Gaze and Surprise Influence if someone else calls
the vote. You may not play any action modifiers during or after this
referendum, so NO, you may not play Private Audience during this vote.

I'm a bit confused over "after the referendum" as well. For how long
does that last??

For the duration of the action.

Yeah, the card does put the acting Methusaleh at somewhat of a disadvantage in
that no Private Audience, no Bewitching Oration, no Telepathic Vote Counting,
and no Kindred Manipulation can be played. Yes, through the use of Dread Gaze,
Surprise Influence, Pulling Strings, Kindred Coercion, etc.. But the problem is
that it's rare that any of these reaction cards "happen" to be in your deck.
Yes, an anti-vote deck will make short work of the vote, but I don't think a
"typical" deck is able to defend against it (unless it burns massive blood).
BTW: The "after" referendum applies mainly to cards like Cryptic Rider and
Voter Captivation. With the ability to burn blood for extra votes, these two
could be made a little too powerful.
Note that it would be particularly nasty to play Blood Siege AFTER a Cryptic
Rider, Malk Rider Clause, or Charming Lobby. Sorry, this passes automatically!

The action, as per default.
It stops Cryptic Rider et al.

Possibly, this sort of thing will cause an interesting shift in the
meta-game to including more such cards in decks. And a good thing too, in
my opinion. Vote defence has long revolved around not having any or
Delaying Tactics. New defences being required will be Good (tm).

Strictly in the interests of pedantry (MORE PEDANTRY!), I should point
out that it wouldn't stop the effects of a Cryptic Rider played on a
previous political action, just forbid the playing of a CR in the
event of the current referendum's passing.

Sorry, yes. I meant "it stops it being played".
