Hi LSJ! I was following the recent discussion about melee weapons and aggro hand damage. Although I think I know the answer I just wanted to ask you that: Does a Vampire equipped with a Sengir Dagger inflict 3 aggravated hand damage with (e.g.) Undead Strenght? The card text reads that "Vampire with this equipment inflicts aggravated hand damage" (hope I remembered it right), whereas after your ruling melee weapons do melee damage and not hand damage. Thanks a lot for clarification, Xandl from C*A*R*D, Vienna, Austria :-o

Allow me to offer a parallel explanation for Bastard Sword for clarity's sake. Sengir Dagger inflicts hand damage (as a strike). Bastard Sword inflicts hand damage +1 (as a strike). Sengir's damage (melee weapon damage) is aggravated. Bastard Sword's damage (melee weapon damage) is not. When using Undead Strength to strike with a Sengir Dagger at +2 damage, the dagger inflicts hand damage +2. This damage (melee weapon damage) is aggravated. When using Undead Strength to strike with a Bastard Sword at +2 damage, the sword inflicts hand damage +3. This damage (melee weapon damage) is not aggravated. -- L.
