cam up during last night game. please let me know what is right or wrong about this. a) player has vamp in torpor. decides not to diablrise it. b) during his influence phase he brings out a second copy of the vampire in torpor. c) he now contests his own vampires and this is when we have problems... does he know do the following? version1 d) gets back to his turn, he pays 0 pool for the contest and gives up the vamp in torpor e) gets to his influence phase and get his vampire back version 2 d) gets back to his turn, he pays 1 pool for the contest and gives up the vamp in torpor e) gets to his influence phase and get his vampire back version 3 d) gets back to his turn, he pays 0 pool for the contest and gives up the vamp in torpor e) end of his go, his vamp is still face down f) start of his next turn he gets his vampire back version 4 d) gets back to his turn, he pays 1 pool for the contest and gives up the vamp in torpor e) end of his go, his vamp is still face down f) start of his next turn he gets his vampire back version 5 d) gets back to his turn, he pays 0 pool for the contest and gives up the vamp in torpor e) end of his go, his vamp is still face down f) in his next turn, during his influence phase he gets his vampire back version 4 d) gets back to his turn, he pays 1 pool for the contest and gives up the vamp in torpor e) end of his go, his vamp is still face down f) in his next turn, during his influence phase he gets his vampire back help. we know this has been errated but we're still not sure as to whats supposed to happen. we went with version 4 but would appreciate confirmation thats the right one. many thanks anam

Confirmed. No errata has ever been issued on this subject, so the rulebook rules hold. [4.1] of the revised rulebook, or V:TES printed rulebook [15], or Jyhad printed rulebook [8]. Contests are "resolved" during the next untap phase (not influence phase) after all but one copy of the contested card has been yielded.
