1.) If a combat that is moved to long range, and then it's press to another round, does the next round starts out long or short? 2.) On the card such as Telepathic Misdirection, the top line says "+1 int" and the subsequent lines are in bold that says "A minion bleeding you...". Does this mean the bold part only works for superior auspex? But then when I read the spoiler, it indicates that there is no superior part. How do we tell then? The same goes for Spying Mission and Cloak the Gathering. 3.) With the card Deflection, the bold, superior part says that the reacting vampire does not tap. But the rule in 7.2.2 states that "Reaction cards does not tap the minion using the card." 4.) Will we see the number of cards restricted to four each? I have a friend who just plays a bunch (about 8 of each) stealth cards and Wake of the evening freshness. Obviously, he kills everyone. 5.) If you declare a withdraw, then you can't block a bleed attempt by your predator, right? 6.) When is the first expansion? -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Doug Le |TTTTTTT UU UU LL AAA NNN NN EEEEE Computer Engineering | TT UU UU LL AA AA NN N NN EEE Tulane University | TT UU UU LL AAAAAAA NN N NN EE le@rex.cs.tulane.edu | TT UUUU LLLLLL AA AA NN NNN EEEEE ----------------------For the land of the Free, and the home of the WAVE!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the auto industry, when they make | In the Software Industry, when they a mistake, it's call a RECALL, and | make a mistake, it's call an UPGRADE, they have to pay for it. | and we have to pay for it. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Each round of combat starts out at close range. >2.) The same goes for Spying Mission and Cloak > the Gathering. All discipline cards will have two versions: the normal version, and the version for those with superior <discipline>. For Telepathic Misdirection, the normal version is to give +1 intercept, and the superior version is to redirect a bleed attempt. If the spoiler list indicates that vampires with normal Auspex can redirect a bleed with this card, then the spoiler list is wrong. >3.) With the card Deflection, the bold, superior part says that the reacting > vampire does not tap. But the rule in 7.2.2 states that "Reaction cards > does not tap the minion using the card." The normal version of Deflection causes the reacting vampire to tap, something which, as you say, doesn't normally happen when a vampire uses a reaction card. The superior version waives this drawback of using the ability. >4.) Will we see the number of cards restricted to four each? I have a > friend who just plays a bunch (about 8 of each) stealth cards and Wake > of the evening freshness. Obviously, he kills everyone. Last I talked to the Convocation folk, they didn't have any plans to restrict cards in Jyhad, or not. But remember that your group can always impose deck construction limits of its own, so if none of you like having more than 4 of a card in a Jyhad deck, then play with that rule, regardless of whether the Convocation introduces that rule or not. Also, a useful approach when someone builds a degenerate deck is to keep building decks which will hose it. Gangrel/Bum's Rush decks will go a long way towards defeating a stealth/wake deck, and being able to wake up a lot won't help much against a voting deck. >5.) If you declare a withdraw, then you can't block a bleed attempt by > your predator, right? They can, but that will prevent you from withdrawing. Of course, being bled would also prevent you from withdrawing... the solution here is cards like Telepathic Misdirection and Telepathic Counter. >6.) When is the first expansion? There are no particular plans for expansions at the moment; we're waiting to see what kind of demand there would be. The same goes for Spying Mission and Cloak > the Gathering. These are action modifiers/reaction cards, so the +X stealth/intercept is something which you can add OR you can take the bottom in bold. Tele. Misdirection will: 1) give a blocking attempt +1 intercept (if you would rather fight) OR 2) misdirect the bleed if you'd rather let someone else worry. Spying Mission: 1) Increase the stealth of your bleed by +1 OR 2) After a bleed is unblocked, forego the damage to increase the the effect of the next bleed. Cloak the Gathering is cool because: 1) an acting minion with obfuscate can get +1 stealth OR 2) with an untapped reserve minion with superior obfuscate, you can give an acting minion without obfuscate +1 stealth (this is really handy if you have one good Nosferatu/Malkav, and lots of enhanced bleeders) > >3.) With the card Deflection, the bold, superior part says that the reacting > vampire does not tap. But the rule in 7.2.2 states that "Reaction cards > does not tap the minion using the card." Call if an unfortunate effect of late breaking changes in the rules (or a reminder). >4.) Will we see the number of cards restricted to four each? I have a > friend who just plays a bunch (about 8 of each) stealth cards and Wake > of the evening freshness. Obviously, he kills everyone. Pack your deck with intercepts and aggravated damage. Ravens, Mr Winthrop, Sport bikes, Auspex reactions. 2nd tradition. Tremere/Malkavian + Andreas. KRCG radio. Include some traps, Bum's Rush, and other direct attack effects. If you don't have votes, use Caitiffs. Direct attack every vampire with Obfuscate, then diablerise/Grave Rob ASAP. Alternately, duplicate his crypt and add 2 Democritus + lots of effective management. I effectively put my predator out of the last game by contesting his vampires. The uncontested ones HAD to defend while mine were free to bleed my prey silly. (Or play a house limit of 3-4 cards like we do) Good Luck... !-----------------------------------------------------------------------------!
