Okay, really silly situation coming up.
I have three vampires ready.
One of them is Smudge (1 capacity Caitiff)
One of them is Dan Murdock (3 capacity Caitiff with obf)
The other is Ozmo (6 cap Malkavian)
Ozmo plays Revelation of the Sire targetting Smudge.
Dan Murdock takes it over (Mask 1KF getting round the requirement of not
being Caitiff)
The action resolves (not blocked)
What happens?
Smudge becomes the same clan as the acting vampire (who doesn't have
one) but is also no longer considered Caitiff. What?
I wouldn't have thought it fizzled because it's not like ritual
challenge which fizzles because it says "The acting Gangrel" or
whatever.

Yeah, this card (RotS) should probably fizzle when the acting
vampire is not clanned. But card text and all:
Smudge is now a member of no clan (Dan's Clan), which is to say, he
becomes Caitiff.
But, oddly enough, his capacity increases by one. (card text)
