You must have at least 12. Any number you like, so long as that number is at least 12. > Also a friend of mine said that the Disciplines affect the damage done in > combate, is this true and if it is true how dose this work (I know that a > vampire's Capacity can influnce damage and bleeding) This is not true. In the "seek and destroy" variant of the *basic* (not the full) game (optional rules presented at the end of the VtES rulebook), a vampire with celerity inflicts 1 additional point of damage at the end of each combat (or 2 additional if he has superior celerity). But, this is just an optional rule. Another optional rule (for either the basic or full game) is named, appropriately enough, "Increased Damage" - but this is based on capacity, not disciplines. Again, this is just a variant rule, and is not the official way things work. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@regency.wizards.com) Official VtES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast. The rules say "Each player must have at least twelve cards in her crypt" (right out of the rule book) dose that mean that I can have more than 12 in my crypt in a 2 player game or what or am I limated to 12? Also a friend of mine said that the Disciplines affect the damage done in combate, is this true and if it is true how dose this work (I know that a vampire's Capacity can influnce damage and bleeding) MICHAEL O'CONNOR Michael....@prodigy.com http://pages.prodigy.com/CrazyMike

Most people only play with 12 to ensure that they get the vamps they want. The only time I've seen a higher crypt is with a Weenie-hoard deck. > Also a friend of mine said that the Disciplines affect the damage done in > combate, is this true and if it is true how dose this work (I know that a > vampire's Capacity can influnce damage and bleeding) Disciplines only affect damage in combat by the cards that they can play. Just having, say potence, on a vamp does not infer any bonuses. The idea of a Vamp's Capacity affecting damage and bleeding is a varient rule and is VERY rarely played with. All vamps have 1 hand damage and 1 bleed unless they have a special ability in thier text box. -- rob.
