can a retainer be damaged by environmental damage like carrion crows or murder of crows (at long range of course) ? after reading [6.4.7.] i'd say no, the retainer can only be damaged by ranged strikes at long range. and special cards like body of sun and weather control. pallando --

In article <3bHO5.87339$Le2.4...@news.chello.at>, [ quoted text not captured ] 6.4.7 seems pretty clear, yes. Only ranged strikes can affect retainers. gomi -- "I wanted to feel that tug of a body as it jerks and kicks while I hold the handle and the life erupts from it like water from the cold springs of the Eastern Mountains. That's what I wanted, and what you want makes you who you are." - Steven Brust, Teckla

Only ranged strikes can affect retainers. Couple that with card text on Carrion Crows: "Opposing minion takes...", yeah. Murder of Crows isn't as clear, but 6.4.7 takes care of that, as you note. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
