Hello, everyone! I've always been confused with the power of the Toreador Masika. "Masika can untap between Methuselahs turns". Does this mean that when a Meth ends his/her turn, Masika may (if he is tapped), untap? It looks quite powerful to me! (Gunther is good, but he can only untap once, and pays blood!) What are your opinions/certainties? David Pontes 8[

That is correct. It will really annoy your opponents as well. Put him in a political/bleed deck and watch the fun....

That is correct - Masika can start every turn (of each Methuselah) untapped. It is powerful, but you pay for it in gaining control of Masika. A Primogen with three superior skills (Gitane, for example) is only worth 7. You pay three more to control Masika.

But it could be worse... could be Arika :) David Pontes 8[

Yes, quite powerful indeed :) Gunther is good, but he is also younger than Masika, at 7 Blood Capacity as opposed to Masika's 10. The thing with Masika is though his special ability is potent, he suffers in disciplines. Other Vampires of the same rank are more versatile, most or the ones I have having at least three superiors like Masika, but with an additional two or three inferiors. If you're playing a focussed deck concentrating on certain disciplines, Masika would be a great addition. Of course, a few discipline cards could certainly make him very potent indeed. I would certainly pay the blood to get him out if I had it. Chris, lover of Tremere, despite having put together a Toreador deck for the next time he plays. : David Pontes : 8[

An argument we had in our group recently came about because Masika ended up with Tragic Love Afair on him. Does this mean that he doesn't untap at the beginning of his controlling Methuselah's turn, but does untap at the beginning of other people's turns? Any comments appreciated.
