So we're in a JOL game. Blood Weakens is in play, I have 7 cards in hand, and I just reacted with Ira with a Spirit's Touch. I did not replace (from BW) but I did draw an additional (Ira) giving me 7 cards in hand. Does the BW effectively lower my hand size forcing me to discard down to 6? My gut tells me so... Relevant Card Text: Name: Blood Weakens "Cards that {a minion plays that} require any Disciplines to play are not replaced until the end of the current action or until any Methuselah's hand is empty (whichever comes first)." Name: Ira Rivers "When Ira plays a card that requires Auspex, you may draw an additional card from your library (discard down to your hand size afterward)." Thanks, Tobin -tpl

Trust your gut. Cards you are currently not replacing count against your hand size.

I'd love to build a Trust Your Gut deck. Doesn't even matter what the card does, so long as the flavor text works.

[ quoted text not captured ] Clearly, it would have to be some kind of a Fortitude damage-prevention card. Fortitude intercept. Something like... for: +1 intercept against a D action FOR: As above, if block successful there is no combat. Untap this minion. "Hmmm, something tells me that.... A HA!! I thought so!" -tpl

Usable only at close range, before strikes are chosen. Only one Trust Your Gut may be played per round of combat. [vic] For the remainder of the combat, the opposing minion takes 1 point of damage during the press step of any round that a grapple is played. [VIC] As above, with an optional press. "The Fiend's entrails were strong as steel cable, snapping bones in their grip."

Personally I would deem Trusting of Your Gut to be used by any kind of minion. A disciplineless intercept (Trusting in that Sixth Sense) or damage prevent (Trusting in your Gut's fortitude). This would be good for Ally decks as well. I won't go so far as to stat the cards up however they would probably grant +1 intercept or 2 damage prevent. D

You can trust it from Auspex (6th sense), Fortitude (it's yout GUT, after all), Viccissitude (trust YOUR gut, as in third person). ;) -- Bye, Daneel
