LSJ: some questions and a suggestion

Some questions: 1. What if the Shadow Court Satyr uses its ability with a ZipGun? Does he takes the point of damage or not, he simply uses the (opt) maneuver and the 1R strike without any other effect? What if i put on the Satyr an Ammo Card? If the Satyr then uses a Gun and trigger its abilty to increase the gun's damage, can i still play another ammo card on that Gun (in the same combat?). And the Satyr must use its ability as a strike at all or he get its strike AND its ability card's effect? For these questions on the Satyr i'm refering on the text found on the Sabbat Spoiler list, since here in Rome i never been able to see a Shadow Court Satyr card (we got so VERY few Sabbat boxes here..). 2. Are the blood put on Alamut considered counters in regard of the Goth Band's ability? I think (and played) yes, but i would like a ruling here. 3. The Blood Brother Ambush is considered only a act modifier when is not in play, and only an ally when he is in play. This means that a Compel the Spirit cannot be used to take back from the Ash Heap the Blood Brothers the turn after is burned in combat? That would be funny... and a suggestion: For a better game terminology, i think that for the future Vtes reprintings the text about an action a Vampire/Ally can performs by its own special ability(ies) should read: "As a X blood (life) cost action, VAMPXXXX / ALLYXXXX can...." (Say, for Al-Ashrad: "As a 2 blood cost (D) action, Al-Ashrad can burn a Location requiring..." etc.). Hope this help, and thank you very much in advance for your response. He would take the damage. However, it would seem vastly more sensible to just put a Zip Gun on the SCS in combat as normal, rather than using its ability. > What if i put on the Satyr an Ammo Card? No, because the ammo card on the Satyr is still an ammo card when he uses it. Hence, it isn't stackable (by ammo card text). > And the Satyr must use its ability as a strike at all or he get its > strike AND its ability card's effect? I don't understand the question, exactly. The Satyr is under no compunction to use the card which is given to it. He can use it (once per combat) if he wants to, but not if he does not. > 2. If you check the errata, several vampires (e.g. Kalinda) are re-written as such, though the intent was there. -- James Coupe

If the card is a strike card, then the Satyr may use that as his strike *OR* may use his innate strike as his strike. > > 2.
