If a vampire with Fortitude and Serpentis ( like UNRE for example ) put a heart of Darkness with daring the dawn to be un-blockable . Since the action is succesful and the dammage occur after the action , does the dammage is normal or aggravated ? Thank You , Mechadick

GreySeer

The damage is normal. Name: Heart of Darkness [AH, FN] Cardtype: Action Cost: 2 blood Discipline: Serpentis [ser] Put this card on the acting vampire. Aggravated damage taken by this vampire is changed to normal damage. Any minion may burn this card as a (D) action. [SER] As above, and this vampire may prevent 1 damage each combat. Name: Daring the Dawn [Sabbat, SW, FN] Cardtype: Action Modifier Discipline: Fortitude [for] Vampires cannot block this action. This vampire takes 2 aggravated damage (not preventable) after the action is complete. [FOR] As above, but this acting vampire takes 1 aggravated damage. You can even use DtD to get the HoD action through. c.f. Concordance + Force of Will "Mechadick" <mech...@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:397ee008.02051...@posting.google.com... [ quoted text not captured ] Normal. A vampire with Heart of Darkness, Armor of Terra, or Concordance treats *all* aggravated damage as normal. It doesn't matter whether it is during or after an action. Halcyan 2

[ quoted text not captured ] I think he was asking if using Daring the Dawn *on* a Heart of Darkness action would be kosher. That is, would the Heart of Darkness kick in before DtD's damage is dealt. I think the answer is yes. That's what GreySeer said, and I'm inclined to agree with him.

Concordance + Force of Will When I theoretically put this deck together, I always had trouble with card ratioes... I needed stealth the get the heart od darkness's to succeed... But now I realize, we don't! All hail HoD/DtD or FoW! ~SV

I fiddled with this loads trying to decide how many Daring the Dawns, Hearts, Force of Wills and stealth cards to put in. One thing Matt Green said to me which I totally agree with though, make sure you maximise your damage with the pre-FoW action before doing the FoW. If all your first action is gonna be is something innocuous, like hunting, you may as well just use Governs for bleeds. That's why I chose Kine Resources Contested. Then again, I suppose equiping with a Leather would be ok... Let me know how it goes Martin

[ quoted text not captured ] It never will go, I can't get enough DtDs to make the deck, nor do I have the vampire's to add in the Crypt... So barring skill cards, going with the mostly FoW angle, I'd need stealth for that first action, etc... ~SV
