We have a situation in a JOL game and I wanted some clarification on what should happen: Meths: A > B > C > D > E Meth A has been bled by Meth E. Meth B Major Boon'd the bleed. Meth A is down to 1 pool. Meth B controls the Curse of Nitocris. Meth E controls the Edge. Meth A bleeds Meth B for 1. If the bleed is successful and Meth B burns the Major Boon, what happens? Is Meth A instantly ousted? If so, what happens to the Edge and Curse? I presume nothing. If there is a window of time for the Edge/Curse movement, if Meth A takes the Edge, can they move the Curse (or are they getting the Edge after being ousted)? Anyway, I think that no movement of Edge or Curse would occur, but I did want confirmation of this. Thanks. Jeff

A burns 1 pool (for the bleed), assuming no one else reduces the amount of the bleed. > Is Meth A instantly ousted? Yes. > If so, what happens to the Edge and Curse? I presume nothing. The bleed is successful for 1 or more, so the Edge is given to A, who is ousted, so goes uncontrolled. (parallel to the "Cards whose control is given to an ousted Methsuelah are burned" case, [RTR 21-FEB-1996]) The Curse stays put, since a new Methuselah did not get control of the Edge.

Note that it is the Methuselah with the curse who gets to move it, not the methuselah getting the edge. The ambiguous "they" above made me feel the need to clarify this. -- salem http://users.tpg.com.au/adsltqna/vtes/ (replace 'hotmail' with 'yahoo' to email)
