Crusade Columbia was won by the Toreador fighting under the hand of Conor Key. Conor used his devastatingly beautiful but skittish minions to rise to the top of the field of 15. Combat decks were rampant, as they usually are in the Southeast tournaments, and the two weenie decks (a dom-embrace-blood-gain deck and a dom-misdirect-bleed deck) didn't finish in the top five. In addition to the prize pack furnished by WotC, Conor received a Protected Resources card (supplied by Joe Churchill, the Prince of Columbia) and a $10 Heroes and Dragons gift certificate (supplied by Heroes and Dragons). Conor's winning deck (formatted by Elder Library Deck Builder): Deck name: Aching Beauty Created by: Conor Key Description: Crypt: (12 cards) [Min: 14, Max: 34, Avg: 6.00] 3 Anson (Toreador, 8, au CE do PR, Prince) 1 Felicia Mostrom (Toreador, 5, AU CE pr) 1 Francois Villon (Toreador, 10, AU CE ch ob po PR, Prince) 2 Isabel de Leon (Toreador, 3, AU) 2 Mariana Gilbert (Toreador, 4, ce PR) 1 Ramiel DuPre (Toreador, 5, au ce do PR) 2 Tatiana Romanov (Toreador, 7, AU ce pr, Prince) Library: (72 cards) 10 Aching Beauty 7 Aire of Elation 1 Art Museum 8 Change of Target 1 Elysium: The Arboretum 2 Entrancement 6 Fifth Tradition: Hospitality, The 3 Fourth Tradition: The Accounting 10 Majesty 6 Minion Tap 4 Second Tradition: Domain 2 Secure Haven 1 Society Hunting Ground 8 Telepathic Misdirection 3 Wake with Evening's Freshness -- L. As for the spoils of war. Next year I will host a tournament in Raleigh. I will then put up my ill-gotten booty (Protected Resources) for the winner. Just a little teaser. P.S. I bought two Cheapass games with my $10. These will not be up for grabs at the tournament. So go buy your own. -- Conor Prince of Raleigh L.
