I control 3 ready, untapped Sabbat Blood Brothers of the same circle (Huey, Dewey and Louie) all with [SAN] Huey attempts a [san] Unwholesome Bond action, playing [SAN] Shell Game as the action is announced and I choose to tap both Dewey and Louie for an additional 2 stealth. The eligable blockers decline, the action is now successful and ready to resolve There are 2 things waiting to happen: 1) gaining X+1 blood, where X is zero and 2) untapping Dewey and Louie. Q: May I untap Dewey and Louie BEFORE resolving [san] Unwholesome Bond? I believe the answer is yes. The action must be successful to resolve and the timing window for Shell game is "if the action is successful," not "after a successful action," "at the end of a successful action" or "after resolving a successful action." Therefore, I should untap those two minions, X becomes 2 instead of zero and Huey gains 3 blood. Q: Were I calling a Domain Challenge using the same minions, I could obviously untap Dewey and Louie after passing blocks, but before the referendum. I assume that, if I wished to be sneaky, I could proceed through the referendum and most or all of the vote tallying, then untap Dewey and Louie just before either closing the vote window or before counting tapped vampires for the Domain Challenge (thereby taking only 1 pool loss instead of 3). The upshot of that is the "if the action is successful" window stretches from the instant all blocks are declined all the way a "end of the action" hardpoint (practically defined by either beginning another minion action or passing into the influence phase.) Shell Game Type: Action Modifier Requires: Sanguinus Only usable when the action is announced. [san] Tap X other ready Blood Brothers you control of the same circle as this one to give this Blood Brother +X stealth (even if stealth is not yet needed). If the action is successful, you may untap one of those Blood Brothers. [SAN] As above, but untap an additional one of those Blood Brothers if the action is successful. Unwholesome Bond Type: Action Requires: Sanguinus +1 stealth action. [san] This vampire gains X+1 blood, where X is the number of ready, untapped Blood Brothers of the same circle as the acting vampire. [SAN] Add 1 blood from the blood bank to each Blood Brother in your uncontrolled region of the same circle as the acting vampire. Domain Challenge Type: Political Action Successful referendum means each Methuselah burns 1 pool for each tapped minion he or she controls.
