the Create a Clan rule:"No more than two different vampires of the clan
can have the same capacity. (Whole Set)"
means that for a given capacity no more than 2 vampires can have that
capacity (means 3 4 4 5 5 6 6 7 8 8 9 10 is a valid spread) or that
the capacities should be 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 and 1 extra of those?

That rule should be changed to read:
"For each capacity, your clan may have up to two different vampires."
You're also allowed to have 2 copies of each unique vampire in your
crypt,
so you could have a crypt that's 3, 4a, 4a, 4b, 4b, 5a, 5a, 5b, 5b,
6, 7, 8.

I haven't sat down to update my (very strict) CaC rules to include
Bloodlines, Black Hand, Anarchs, Laibon, etc. LSJ opted to include
Bloodlines in his rules, and yeah, mono-discipline weenie decks might
be one of the ways you can abuse his rules.
Though remember that no two unique vampires may share the same
discipline spread, so it's a bit challenging to go mono-discipline
weenie.

Hm, I see. I wasn't aware of how the rules evolved. Had access to them
only when they got sort of "official".

Fair enough. Though it's still possible, even if you end up with some
unused disciplines.
I know you don't need an example, but for those who could be
wondering...
[pre] [for] [aus] clan, bloodline [pre] [mel] [dom]
1 cap: caitiff with [for] and a drawback
2 cap A: [pre]
2 cap B: [pre] [aus] Red List or whatever gives 1 extra point
3 cap A: [pre] [for]
3 cap B: [PRE]
4 cap A: [PRE] [aus]
4 cap B: [PRE] [for]
3 cap C: Bloodline, [pre] [mel] [dom]
3 cap D: Bloodline, [MEL] [pre]
4 cap C: Bloodline, [DOM] [pre]
4 cap D: Bloodline, [PRE] [dom]
11 weenies, 4 with [PRE], 6 with [pre]. It even has a good splash of
[dom] for bouncing.
Double up on the [PRE] 4-cap and you're good to go...
It's not like that one can't find a similar crypt (with DOM, per
example) in the actual vampires released for the game, I just thought
that CaC tournaments could use up the opportunity to disencourage such
crypts... Even if it was not the original intention.

I don't believe it will be abused. In fact, I was just wondering about
the original question - I always thought it related to whole crypt,
i.e., you can't have
2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7
only
1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
at most.
We're close to a CaC tournament in here and all players were already
instructed to follow the second pattern, not the first. :-/
I know, we can have it the way the organizer wants, but I'd like to
follow the rules to the letter since it's first time we run such a
tourney in my city.

It is not. "Whole set" is explicitly stated in that rule.

Ignoring the Bloodline bits for now, just this part is illegal. Here's
the rule you're missing:
"No two different vampires of 5-cap or less may share the same superior
Discipline. (Whole Set)"
So only one of your vampires with capacity less than 6 can have
superior PRE. I consider this to be a tad harsh - it makes it hard to
make decent 5-caps - but it certainly makes weenie-munchkinism (TM)
very difficult in CaC.

Also each vampire must have more points in IN clan disciplines that out of
clan disciplines, so you need to watch that also.

It's been a while since I've read it carefully. Good call!
Now I can reason why weenie crypts can be made to any player that
complains about other people's crypts to our CaC "organization
