Just back from seeing my brother safely married, and playing a very interesting three-way Happy families tournament. In the final the unusual situation arose of Sarah actually having the potential to use the Dauntain Black magician's special ability [to be burnt as a D action to burn a !tremere]. So i rushed and killed him before she could cotton on to it, but i'm VERY confused about how the DBM's ability would work. Does the magician take a D action to burn himself and the !tremere? Or is he just burnt a la memories of Mortality or Mummy's tongue and then bye-bye !Tremere? i'll enlarge a bit on this tournament probably in the May newsletter because it may be relevant to questions people have been raising about demo-ing the game and also to the larger question of Fun vs Competition, but here i'll just say that the !tremere deck was the real surprise of the tournament, and has made me a lot less negative about the clan than i used to be. Happy now, Xian? Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

If the (D) action (directed at the !tremere - and therefore at your predator) is successful (unblocked), then you burn Dauntain "to" burn the !tremere. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. And this D action has to be taken by the Dauntain Black magician himself, correct? Or does the "you" in the text mean that any of your minions can take a D action which if unblocked burns the DBM and the target !tremere? [ quoted text not captured ]
