LSJ- Hector Trelane and Amaranth

Hector Trelane amaranths the opposing vampire which burns the opposing vampire. He then burns in the ensuing bloodhunt. Does his special trigger even though he was burned in a bloodhunt (not combat) and there is no opposing minon?
