Any official ruling on this would be appreciated. Blood of Acid; Combat Vicissitude 2 blood inferior: "Only usable at close range before strikes are chosen. During strike resolution, the opposing minion takes an amount of damage equal to the damage he or she successfully inflicts." SUPERIOR: "As above, but the damage is aggravated." Now I have a question - does this apply just to the combat when the Blood of Acid card was played, or should this be applied to the vampire as a permanent card, like a Zip Gun (the only permanent combat card I could think of...)??? In the WoD, the Blood of Acid power *is* permanent - you can't Embrace, Blood Bond, create Ghouls, and your blood is basically acidic for the rest of your unlife (fun combined with Plasmic Form...), regardless. So, does this card stay on the vampire, or is it a one-combat effect? -- Pax Vobiscum Justin Grace

>So, does this card stay on the vampire, or is it a one-combat effect? One combat. A lot of disciplines that have an effect in the RPG have different effects in V:TES, because they would be unbalanced if directly translated. For example, they can't print on Blood of Acid, "This vampire cannot take any action that requires normal blood," so they'd just leave it the way it is, which would probably be broken. Another example is Mummify, except it's broken the other way. --- Liam Burke "Only a Malkavian would attack Cthulhu with laughing gas..." -overheard

It is a one-strike effect. It applies only to the next strike resolution. (*) -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@regency.wizards.com) Official VtES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
