Some questions about moving retainers and raptors:
(A) Ox (ANI) recruits a Raptor.
The Raptor is moved to Dani (ani) by Heidelberg Castle.
Does the Raptor 'stay in superior mode' ?
(B) Dani (ani) uses Shepherd's Innocence to take control of
Ox' Raptor.
Is the Raptor now in 'inferior mode' ?
(C) Blaise (ANI; CEL) has a Raptor on her.
She's in combat with another minion, whose Meth reduces
his hand size by one. After combat ends Blaise plays Psyche.
Does the opposing Meth replace his hand and then discards
again another card to reduce his handsize?
(D) Blaise (ANI) with a Raptor started combat with another minion.
After combat is over Ox (ANI, OBF) wants to use Hidden Lurker
to get in combat.
Is there an opportunity to tap Heidelberg Castle betweeen these
combats to move the Raptor to Ox before he plays Hidden Lurker
or does the combat from Hidden Lurker still count as 'during the action'?
(E) If there is an opportunity in (D): Would the opposing Meth redraw and
re-discard ?
(F) If Ox in (D) already has a Raptor: Would the opposing Meth
redraw and re-discard ?

Yes. The raptor was recruited (employed) by a vamp with superior animalism,
so the superior card text applies.

Yes.

No. It's still part of an action (hidden lurker is an action modifier) and
you can't tap heidelberg during actions.

If both vampires (Blaise and ox) had raptors, Yes, the meth would have to
discard and redraw after combat, then discard for the hidden lurker
triggered combat.

I think so. For the same reasons than when Dani recruits a raptor and
then gets superior Animalism, the Raptor stays at inferior. This is
part of the "you'd have to take notes to keep track of everything
problem" ... A card keeps the "mode" it had when it came into play.

Since HL is an action modifier, I don't think you can use the HC.

I think so, because it is a different combat (same thing as Psyche!).

Correct. The requirements of a card are only checked when the card
is played (cf. Hunting Grounds, etc.). Once in play, the attributes
of a card do not change (except as noted in the rules or on card text).

If you're feeling adventurous, something like a non-metal paper clip
(since the metal ones tend to try and pull back to their normal shape
too much) may be of use - putting it at the top of the card for
inferior, and the bottom for superior, or somesuch.

cool idea. also, metal ones tend to drag their sharp edges when being
removed, so the plastic idea is neat.
maybe putting the clip on the side of the card, so that it's loop circles
either the inferior retainer text or the superior (usually only a life
difference, except obviously for raptors and maybe some others..)
