Let me first say that Jyhad is a really great game and has taken the place of MtG among a few of my friends. But, I still have a few questions. I have a Wolf Companion card that says it does 1 damage each round of combat during strike resolution phase. Does this work at only close range? The hunting ground cards say "Only 1 blood can be given to a vampire by hunting ground cards each turn" Does this mean that you can only use 1 hunting ground each turn, or that any one vampire may not take more than 1 blood each turn? Can a blood doll be used the turn it's played? My vampire attempts to block my predator's vampire. My predator plays an action modifier which gives his vampire +1 stealth. My vampire cannot intercept. Is my blocking vampire still tapped? Can I then attempt to block with another vampire that has a +1 intercept? If I have a card that lets me attack another vampire as a (D) action, can my opponent block that action with a different vampire? I have a vampire that says "All Brujah blocking her have a -1 intercept." Does this mean that Brujah can't block her if no other cards are played, or that she reduces an intercept card's value by one? Looks like you can only use one Hunting Ground each turn. >Can a blood doll be used the turn it's played? Don't have one to look at, but I think it's used either during untap or master phase. If untap, then that phase has alredy gone by, so of course you can't use it. If master, then by placing the Blood Doll you've already used your master action for that turn, so can't use another one. >My vampire attempts to block my predator's vampire. Can I then attempt to >block with another vampire that has a +1 intercept? "[If after everyone is done with action modifiers] the intercept of a minion attempting to block is at least as great as the stealth of the acting minion, the acting minion is blocked. If this is not the case, the blocking minion is left untapped, and another minion may attempt to block." >If I have a card that lets me attack another vampire as a (D) action, >can my opponent block that action with a different vampire? Sure. >I have a vampire that says "All Brujah blocking her have a -1 >intercept." Normally when you start out trying to block an action, the acting minion has whatever its stealth is (+0 if bleeding, +1 if hunting, etc) and the would-be blocker has +0 intercept. Therefore any intercept cards played would add to that +0 total. What the vampire in question is saying is that if she's the acting minion, and the vampire attempting to block is of the Brujah clan, then that vampire starts out at -1 intercept rather than +0 intercept. I read it the same way Tom does -- no matter how many Hunting Grounds you have in play, you only get one free blood point out of them per turn, period. -- Doug DeJulio ddj@zardoz.elbows.org

The Master Phase says nothing about a limit on actions, only on the limit on cards played. You can certainly tap Barrens AND use a Blood Doll, and what if you have 2 blood dolls? I don't know the answer to the question, but I don't see anything in the rules that restricts you to one action per master phase. I also don't see anything on Blood Doll that would prevent your using her the turn you play her. >Tom Wylie rec.games.deckmaster Network Representative for >aahz@hal.com Wizards of the Coast, Inc. Wait a minute, your a netrep and you think there's only one ACTION per Master Phase? Have you actually played this game yet? I know the answer came from Tom and its not polite to question the Oracle, but it seems incorrect. thanks, Ken

Really? That seems odd to me... I had read it the other way, that is, "only one blood can be given to a particular vampire by hunting ground cards each turn," rather than "only one blood can be given to any vampires by hunting ground cards each turn" ... I mean, it seems natural that a vampire can only spend so much time wandering through hunting grounds... but it doesn't make sense that if Anson refreshes himself in the Society Hunting Ground, that this would prevent Selma - The Repugnant from getting some blood in the Slum Hunting Ground. (Especially considering that Anson is in Seattle and Selma is in Cleveland! :) ). --Chris -- SCUM Rises to the Top!
