Uncontrolled vampires don't check their blood totals, and thus come into play, until end of influence. Allies cannot act the turn they come into play, and should be placed in your uncontrolled region for the moment to remind you of that (end section 12.3.1, "Recruit Ally"). The vampire created by Progeny/Embrace isn't covered by either of these rules, so just goes straight into your ready region, and has to hunt as its action for the turn (card text). Well, wait a second. The Progeny card says that the vampire has to hunt...the Embrace says that the vampire cannot act...or maybe it's the other way around. Anyway, this is just an "I don't have every card in front of me at all times" thing, right, Tom? ----------------------------------------------------- Jerrod Ankenman jiankenman@ucdavis.edu Prince of Davis

Anyway, this is just an "I don't have every card in >front of me at all times" thing, right, Tom? Oops, you're right, I didn't think to look at Progeny, which says the new vampire cannot act that round. Embrace says the new vampire can only hunt.
